You can't regulate cannabis like alcohol. How are you gonna deal with second-hand cannabis smoke in the air or where people can smoke and people growing and manufacture cannabis products at home?

For every 10Kg of dried Cannabis, each LP or Micro license holder must take about 200gr and have it Lab tested (by a certified Health Canada Lab) for various Chemicals, Microbes, Mildew, Pesticides, etc. Each Lab test cost around 3-5K...and the producer can NOT sell 1gr of that 10Kg batch/lot until it is cleared by the Lab and then Health Canada. So, if you have a grow that is i.e. 1000Kg (very small operation)...that would be ~$300-500,000 in testing costs. Not chump change. Second hand smoke??? I would worry more about the exhaust from Cars/Trucks before Cannabis smoke. Plus, it would take someone smoking a joint and blowing the smoke in your face for the entire joint for you to 'feel' anything. Manufacturing products at home??? Not unlike the home brewers or people that make Wine at home...what is the difference? CKP...bring it. I can debunk anything you throw out regarding Cannabis. Are you for real? I seen many diff complaints already about Gov weed having mold, mildew, bud rot, and sometimes almost no buds but shake. They charge 5000 for a lab test yet the stuff they sell is complete garbage and would be hard to find shitty stuff like that from your average dealer. This is criminal what the government is doing charging 5000 for a lab test . Weed should be decriminalized, not licensed or regulated. Its a plant how can the gov pretend to own a plant when its god given like the land it grows in. Yes, you are correct. There have been complaints from the general public since the recent legalization of Cannabis in Canada...and those products have been removed from the shelves. This is what Regulation and Monitoring can do. The process of "Seed to Sale" is what allows the producer to monitor its' entire crop (bar/scan codes on each and every plant grown). With that code, they will know exactly who grew it, what processes were involved to grow it (nutrients, pesticides, etc) and who handled the plant at every stage...including the packaging and distribution. Be thankful that when you buy your 'stuff', if there is anything wrong with it, you have the opportunity to 1. get your money back, 2. replace the product and 3. the producer has the opportunity to go back on their records to find out at what stage caused the (for lack of better words) incident...and fix it. Try doing that with your Grey/Black market dealer...LOL
