I was a believer in Rapture doctrine the first ten or so years I was a Christian. After more then 20 years of Bible study I've come to the conclusion it's a bad interpretation and "Escapist" wish. It isn't there.

I was too. I read all the "left behind" books and had a firm belief in the pre trib rapture.

Then I stated studying the bible in depth and realized it was all a sham. It really messed with me for a while. Pastor saying one thing, the bible saying another.

Know I know the truth.

That there is no pre trib rapture in the bible.

Kinda makes you wonder why "pastors" all over america teach it as biblical fact.

I was dragged to church 3 times a week, from the time I was born to the time I was about 18. From the early 50's on, they were prepared for the Rapture at any minute. If I smoked, drank, cursed, danced, went to the movies, or Gasp! had sex, I was going to hell. There were tear-jerking stories of young people dying in their sin and being flung into an eternity in Hell, and alter calls each meeting to get saved or back to God. It's a real mindfuck. They were sincere.

The churches in America don't teach the truth anymore. Its all "feel good" tickling the ears.

The bible said this was going to happen. Jesus warned us about wolves in sheep's clothing.
