We need to slash our entire government at least in half. Eliminate the IRS, CIA, Dept of Education, Dept of Housing and Urban Development, and everything that has to do with subsidies for lazy fucks who don’t want to work.

For the people that don't have credit cards, there is always unemployment checks. When they get their back pay, they can always pay the IRS back...

The average shutdown is less than two weeks long, or one pay period, and you get back pay. How irresponsible do you have to be financially and personally to work these cushy jobs with high pay and not at least save half a month of expenses away?

I say,eliminate all non essential government jobs,,, Re-evaluate all essential govt. jobs to determine which of those should be non-essential. Eliminate the TSA entirely,they are useless.

When these people were hired they were made aware of how a government shutdown would effect them and,should have financially prepared considering previous presidents have done this before.

I was criminally assaulted in my own home, 5 vertabrae broken, paralyzed a week, lost 9 weeks pay, no disability, couldn't get the crime recognized as a crime, wasn't eligible for unemployment, almost buried under credit card debt to stay afloat, alone, no assistance, still struggling 10 months later with a body that's barely usable.
I drag myself into work 12 hour shifts and struggle against a body that tells me my arms and legs weigh 3 times their weight and feel like they are on fire.

And these people are going to get back pay?
