On the original Galaga, on one of the first two waves, if you did not kill 2 yellow bees and just let them cycle dropping bombs, eventually they would stop dropping bombs. Took about 10-15 minutes, but then no units dropped any bombs for the rest of the game. We competed by how many waves we could complete. If I remember correctly, it was in the low-mid 200s. If you didn't have an hour and a half, don't play... Did not know that. I flipped it by getting the 2nd fighter attached and you basically killed everything on their way in. Kinda redundant. anonymouse1119 |

From what I read that seems like an actual bug in the first version that they corrected. It is not good for quarter sales though so corrected. If I ever get one, it will only be the first version. Quoting: EarthSkies For me it's: -Golden Axe -Mortal Kombat 3 -Killer Instinct I'm 39, grew up in the golden age of Arcades and in my personal opinion Mortal Kombat and Golden Axe, and that RC car game with the stearing wheel will always be THE aracde games of my life. But then theres Daytona Beach, that first 3d hologram aracde machine which blew everyones fucking minds, shit theres so many greats. I remember that RC game.... loved making tight corners spinning the wheel wild! Always fancied the yellow car, lighting in the arcade was such that the angle of the yellow wheel had the least glare from the neon "pizza" sign not too far away. Shakey's Pizza was the go-to arcade growing up in the 80's in San Angelo TX "Tempus Fugit" |

Mainly obscure titles, but fun nonetheless. |

Anyone have the ReaperBot Mod or the Grapplehook? The original Quake was just bad ass. The background music would make the hair on the back of my neck stand up! Every iteration of the game was so damn much fun. Would love to be able to play it again! Quake 1 was the best FPS hands down. Putin's Voluntaryist User ID: 75012031 United States 01/13/2019 04:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In my time, Mortal Kombat 2 was revolutionary when it came out. People would gather around the machine to watch me play it, so much so that my dad had to have his tech guy add an additional monitor on top of the game so people could see. The "fatalities" made people go nuts! Nobody had ever seen anything like it. We'd have big tournaments with $500 prizes. There were only two other players in town who matched my MK2 skills, so I'd always place in the top 3. It's definitely my favorite arcade game of all time. I hated Mortal Kombat 3 when it came out, since they added that gay run button though. Final Lap 2 was also one of the greats. It was one of the first games where you could connect up to 6 players (I think) to race each other. That was really fun as a kid, and made my dad tons of money. Grown adults would get so mad when my little sister and I would beat any adult who challenged us to a race. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] Last Edited by STAX on 01/13/2019 04:51 AM |

These day its all tickets 1000 you win a free crayon 6 pack. More skilled toy thingy you never can win. Arcade places was where I spent time shooting pool or billiards not gaming. You think I can shoot pool or billiards now no where. Even pubs don't have them. Playing snooker or pool is good for the mind. |
