Everyone should go donate to JW. They do a lot of the heavy lifting that should be done by Congress (oversight committees) and investigative journalists (like those exist anymore, outside of a few).

I can barely stomach the responses anymore. The lies & sheer stupidity is just to much, it's overwhelming.

A national debate on the nature - the true nature - of liberals/leftists is long overdue. But the president, among others, doesn't make much of an effort for that conversation to occur.

How come?

Because people like his daughter are of the left? Because his favorite aunt or friendly former business partner, etc, is of the left? Because fragments of his own biases are of the left?

If he were a staunch liberal and still being vilified by the current group, I could understand why he would continue to want to keep a low profile about his libtardism.

From 2008 to 2016, Obama never once came out and said something like, "I'm a proud liberal, a proud ultra-liberal. If you don't like that, it's because you're too damn conservative or rightwing."

If Trump doesn't define the politics of other people, they'll define him.

Hillary Clinton in the late 1990s dug up a phony "vast rightwing conspiracy" to create an "oh, look a squirrel!" moment for herself and Bill. Trump, by contrast, at least can cite an actual vast leftwing conspiracy working against him. But he doesn't.

His putdowns instead come off as too much like frat-house members mocking other frat-house members. Resentment or anger among such people can have nothing to do with how leftwing or rightwing a frat member is or isn't.
