Trump pledges transparency on Putin conversations after bombshell report
President Donald Trump on Saturday said he would be willing to release the details of his private conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki last summer.

“I would. I don’t care,” Trump told Fox News host Jeanine Pirro in a phone interview, adding: “I’m not keeping anything under wraps. I couldn't care less.”

The president’s remarks came hours after a report by The Washington Post stating that Trump “has gone to extraordinary lengths to conceal details” of his talks with Putin. The Post also reported that there is no detailed record of Trump’s interactions with Putin at five locations over the past two years, according to U.S. officials.

The president referred to his roughly two-hour dialogue with Putin in Helsinki — at which only the leaders and their translators were present — as “a great conversation” that included discussions about “securing Israel and lots of other things.”

House Republicans in July quashed an attempt by Democratic lawmakers to subpoena Trump's interpreter in Helsinki.

Asked by Pirro if he'd ever worked on behalf of Russia, Trump did not directly answer the question, calling the Times' report "insulting."

PIRRO: "Are you now or have you ever worked for Russia, Mr. President?"

TRUMP: "I think it’s the most insulting thing I’ve ever been asked... If you read the article, you’ll find they had nothing... It’s called the failing New York Times for a reason..." (then pivots to Comey)

He just said in sincerity it is a hurtful thing to accuse him of that, insinuating any more stupid questions aren't necessary, so he helped her get a clue and changed the subject. If he said flat No, it would be as if he is being interrogated. He's not so they were speaking as acquaintances.

Democrats got nothing at all. Trump has been America first from the beginning.

Dan Bongino laid it all out how Obama spied on Trump and Admiral Rogers warned him. The head of British intel resigned the day Trump moved out of Trump Towers.

The false Russian narrative failed years ago. We all know how Strzok and Paige and Stephen Halper set the stage for a false investigation. Bruce and Nellie got the fake Steele dossier to the FBI and it was then used to get a FISA warrant on Trump. Mueller's job is to destroy the evidence of the illegal investigation.

The America First people want to secure the border and protect the USA. The other side wants an open border where criminals and paupers come through and destroy the country.

He cant. He doesnt have legs to stand on. Every part of his life is being investigated, more bombshells come out every day, Mueller report is not too far off, people are starting to get real mad at this trump shutdown, Cohen is going to go in front of congress and it keeps going.

Plus he cant prosecute without evidence. What your asking him to do is act like a dictator in a police state. What is this 1984???

Work with Russia without sacrificing any of our values, if it is in our own best interests, and with verifiable trust: yes

Work for Russia: no

There isnt one thing trump has done that you can point to that is "working for russia" without stretching some conspiracy out to reach your conclusion

I speculated nothing in this thread. You asked me:

"Do you believe President Trump is a Russian spy or is working for Russia?"

And I gave you a direct answer: I don't know with any degree of certainty one way or another.

Trump is one person who knows the answer to that question; however, he gave no answer one way or another so we do not have his word as a reference to answer your question.

If you are happy with what you believe he has done economically for your community, that's a very good thing. But neither you or I know with any verifiable certainty whether or not Trump is working for Russia.

While I agree that Trump's stated objectives are what the nation needs and that his actions so far have improved our nation, I would NEVER say that I know the fully exposed character and heart - "real deal" - of anyone after just 2.5 years.
Even if I've been with someone, in person, every day for a decade or more, I would not say that about them. Spies, sleeper cell agents, long cons, serial killers, psychopaths, criminals, men with hidden second wives and families, people that carry on long term affairs, etc, are common. These people are usually able to deceive everyone around them, including their own spouses and children, to make them think they're the best person ever and would never do x, y, z.

We've been witnesses to small fragments of Trump's life, from afar. We haven't been with him, in person, for 2.5 years, much less decades. If common types of people can deceive their own families and coworkers for decades, why should we think that we really know Trump after only a few years of seeing him via TV?

Re: Trump pledges transparency on Putin conversations after bombshell report

Trump needs to counter...Deep State has him on 'defense'

He needs to go on 'offense' & start prosecuting.
 Quoting: Garufal

The average, decent American is more concerned with the intent of the law rather than the letter of it.

The only chance the council or any of these clowns ever had was catching people tripping up with mis-remembering under oath which leads to the types of perjury charges Gen. Flynn had to deal with.

I think people are starting to realize that these Marxist tactics are eventually going to implicate us all if even if they only recognize it at a visceral level thus far.
