Pretty much useless, non-Constitutional employees, leaving en masse sound like the sucking sound when you pull the plug on your bathtub drain. Perhaps that is a very good place to drain the swamp. Starting when they all get swirled around in the vortex and sucked into the septic system.

This is soooo tiresome. The RIF would get rid of younger new hires, replaced by the OBAMA people who would drop down to replace them.

They are nonessential. You may not remember the tricks "O" pulled on the country when they installed him the first time. One of the first things the bas**r* did was get rid of all sources of student loans and put it under the gov. Look at the mess people have to repay. That most likely was to convince Americans that Socialism was good and college was going to be free, just as soon as Conservatives were destroyed.
There were many, many, many car dealerships that mysteriously went under and people who had built those dealerships, as well as being family businesses for decades (especially in rural areas) found their products would no longer be available to them. They were out of business some as quickly as 30 days. All of a sudden Democrats were taking over those dealerships (almost every one had been owned by Repbs) except one, as I remember. This was covered on Fox because one of the anchors had parents that were victims of said Dem thievery. No one did a thing. No enquirers, no one cared, I guess. I knew we were in trouble!
It went down hill from there ... and if you don't live under a rock, the vile story is being revealed ....!
Shortly after that all the good paying jobs were going away. Capitalism was demonized and became a piranha .... every one was taught it was a failure, to be avoided at all costs. As things went along the only good paying jobs were for the gov. You can't believe how many people went to work for the government. There became more gov. workers than those who were working in the private sector. Jobs moved out of the country ... fast! Healthcare was overhauled. Food prices went up but food, as well as everything, was beginning to be delivered by dilapidated Mexican trucks and uneducated (in terms of driving standards and safety protocol in American transportation of goods) Mex. drivers . People began finding government jobs because it was hard to work in the free market.
Students were finding it better to work in some capacity for the gov after graduation because the jobs were taken by foreign students ... to a great extent, or hard to find. Educated people had no choice other than places like Wendy's and Starbucks.
"O" said we needed a social army that was trained and equipped as well as the reg military. The Boy Scouts began to train in guerrilla warfare tactics because the returning Veterans were termed enemy combatants (as were we all!) Some of us were getting frightened.
The goal of Socialism is to make all dependent on the gov. That was happening. It happened all too well.
Leave Trump alone, he knows what he is doing. The unnecessary fat is being cut.
As a last gesture of hate, "O" hired about 2,000 and then some, people which he divided into the FBI and the CIA just before he left office. At the last min he made them Civil Service. Their orders were to make the Trump Presidency impossible for our great new President to succeed. "O" was running this "army" after he left office. These people need to go!
That is the best I can do to explain why many people should go find other employment! The story certainly does not stop there, but I am. You get the idea.

Please, please let that happen! We only need about 1% of the current federal goobermint work force as Constitutionally mandated.

Back pay is already signed into law. Why quit a job you are forbidden to show up at and do then get your regular pay a few weeks or months later as if you did work? Run up a credit card and pay it off when the money comes in and you just got a great, paid vacation.

It needs to be done on the state level as well, enough of this nepotism! People who have had generations of families appointed to government offices and cousins and uncles even underqualified ones! Put into positions of authority. Where the skimming of every government funded agency and contract is practiced perpetually. This economic system and government needs a reset and so do we!

No, it doesn't; an RIF traditionally effects senior employees who are already close to retirement age. And the Democratic-led unions will fight it tooth and nail.

The best thing to happen would to radically change existing policies to get rid of younger, self-entitled employees as well.
