sometimes the brain is wired for self destruction, it's in the DNA.

other times the wiring is from conditions too intense to cope with. and coping skills were not learned. often from domestic violence and other poor living conditions. Those constant triggers in life become overwhelming.

negative coping is drugs alcohol, fighting, acting-out behavior, other addictions, not surrounded by a support system.

positive coping is prayer, meditation, positive outlook, ability to be resilient and bounce back, communication, health and so on.

It's not always 'yes' in everything they do.

The sex is empty, the rush and thrill are very limited...the none stop drugs and alcohol are the downers even though people think it's an upper.

Then there is the business side of the reality----you are always broke and needing money. You don't have a stable job or health insurance. You're always borrowing from everyone and waiting for checks.

And now it is even worse, everything is way more expensive.

And if you had a family you never see them and then they finally tell you, "Hey, if you're not going to be around, we might as well move on with other people..." and they take your kid and that hurts like hell.

Been there, done that, got out before it ruined me completely.
If your on tour, out of 6 months your on stage for some fleeting moments that get lost when your in-between times and it just drags on...and on....

It does not make up for all you give...those moments on stage. It just doesn't.

And the people in the business, everyone thinks their cooler and bigger than you and always fighting to make sure you and everyone around you or with you know it.

It's a tough job before you make it big, you suffer for years.

That's why when you finally make it, you try to hang on as long as possible. Even in the face of losing everything, your narcissism kicks in and you start to believe the hype and when you realize you're not all that----everyone whom you thought supported you is gone. On to the next up and coming band being hanger on's for them.

It's fun playing and recording in the studio...but if it all ended there, that would be awesome. But there's all that other unfun B.S..

Too bad...guy should have looked into life deeper than that, should have prayed and sought help on another level.

There is something about the suicide signature.

hanging is a quiet way, many people don't realize that when they cut off the oxygen that they lose feeling in their legs and can't take back their decision. so those just trying it out often die.

over dosed are usually accidental. people in that state of mind can't think straight.

jumping off a building or into traffic or off a bridge contains some public display of pain. it was in his face, his lips were wide between a cry and like a feeling from his heart that was very deep.

there are different messages that the person sends with the method of suicide. it's interesting, but somewhat selfish.

I agree he's an asshat. but you know that it's not always the reason they proclaim if he was upset over a pet.

Who has to clean up the splatter at the bottom? And what does the family have to deal with at the funeral and the rest of their lives. Asshat was far from virtue.

Read somewhere that NOT being rich and NOT having everything you ever wanted is something of a blessing, because you can always be striving toward it and imagine how great things will be upon "arrival".

When you have everything and still feel empty though, it's a very lonely, desolate place. Made sense to me. That's where spiritual pursuits can be helpful, would imagine, but some people can't seem to get there. God rest his soul
