Oh I am sure that genetic therapy will extend the lifespan to several hundred years, just as you say, but I disagree about it taking a decade, I believe it is coming sooner! We will be like biblical characters living to 700 to 900 years old. It's going to be great!

It's close. I periodically look into genetics based companies to invest in but there has been a lot of pipeline set backs the last year. The genomic biotech industry has lost around 1/2 it's market cap during this time because of the pipeline set backs. There is a ways to go yet.

I'm thinking there will be bonus upgrades as well, better cognition would be something I'd be interested in. Imagine living 1,000 years with higher cognition function.

Better cognition is something we would all be interested in. I'm dreaming of dna upgrades where molars/teeth are regrown as needed, finally putting and end to draconian dentistry which by design use materials to injure our systemic health tremendously. Bodies that regenerate rather than deteriorate. Reversal of degenerative cell changes with would in turn finally end degenerative diseases. The cure to cancer, and all kinds of other great things...
