Light is not a wave. It's only observed like that by us, by our current tech. An optical illusion.
Like raindrops in the strong wind - look like they are not dropping vertically down, yet are falling straight down.

Also, when we look at the photos of spiral galaxies, we see black whirls between the visible swirls. That black, it's actually light (too) of higher frequency spectrum, that our eyes cannot yet see.
Nor can our instruments! Similarly, human hearing is limited to 20K Hz. But dogs and cats and some other mammals can hear beyond.

Just because we cannot hear something, does not mean there is no sound there. Precisely the same with LIGHT!
Why do we (or just the astronomers) think that the light we see now, is all light there is? Pride before the fall.
