I hope that you do go ahead and learn how to make guitars, it would probably be a very rewarding experience, a bit like eating food that you grew. Good idea to purchase some kits in order to get a 'feel' for part of the process of construction. I suggest that you get a kit(s) online from Thommann. They are a brilliant company that make a generic line of guitars that punch well above their weight, considering the price.



Or you could buy some pencils. I saw this video a few weeks ago, the finished guitar is played around the 8 minute mark.
