Went to Walmart last night....shelves are EMPTY

All the prep foods are gone.

Peanut butter, rice and canned foods.

Looked like a ghost town.

Zero exageration.

Produce and fruits, gone.

Any fat people on scooters? One of those would feed a family for months

Better top off your preps, while you can.

Nope.

Just people wandering around wondering wtf is going on with the food?

It was surreal seeing isle after isle, empty from floor to top shelf.

May have something to do with people prepping as you're due in for some pretty heavy/nasty weather there...

People are prepping/stocking up so they don't have to venture out in that... :-)

Early food stamps all at once instead of spread out on the usual days.

Nah. People don't pay attention to that much around here.

This is a food stamp thing and it's going to lead to far worse.

Something is up.

The global pharmaceutical industry seems to be downsizing last months.

Never before so many different medicines not available in stocks.

Never seen anything like it.

Either the global demand all of a sudden has gone up or their production has been greatly decreased.

I am guessing the later.

Global depression coming, my guess.

It's quite the uneasy feeling.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.. seen that mentioned on here before, people got their food stamps in early for Feb... hmm.. you could be right...

I went to Meijers last night and everything was being stocked. Maybe they stock other days.

Perhaps something sinister may be happening but at my local Walmart the inventory is always all messed up.

I wonder if its is a simple as theft? If product walks the computer never knows the item was not sold and never re-orders and shelves become empty?

Or perhaps its just the fact that Walmart sux...

It was like that at my grocery store last night too. They were having their weekly sale, but the shelves have never been that empty just a couple hours into the sale. They had guys in almost every middle aisle trying to restock fast.

Yep. Things are going to go along the lines I've been describing for years now. We're on the cusp of the later Christian Apocalypse Events happening worldwide. Once this happens... you, me, and the rest of us are going to be looking fondly back to these days of civil unrest as our last peaceful days.

There was minimal stocking going on. Not that there wasn't any but usually there are boxes everywhere on stock day.

There were just a few here and there and being shelved.

None of the empty shelves were being replenished.

This was around 10 pm last night.

It’s the SNAP/welfare people prepping for no SNAP come February. Clearing out the shelves. Happening in a lot of places.

That's not supposed to kick in until January 20th.

Also in Ohio. Grocery stores were packed, but there’s supposed to be a snow storm today. Everyone panics before and during a snow storm. Add in the early food stamp thing. If you think people in your area don’t spaz out about snow, I recommend asking a few cashiers their opinion. People spaz if there will be a quarter inch that is expected to be melted the next day.

people were doing this here in Indianapolis too, on wednesday I went to Meijer and it was like panic scene , they were all prepping for snowstorm on saturday?

something is up. someone tipped them off, either that or it's all just silly hysteria.

They are going to get fatter while watching it snow...

Yea, thats it... Ran into a friend last night at Walmart and now I remember her telling me it was the "unexpected" food stamps this month.
My State paid February food stamps early because of the shut down with a letter explaining one would need to budget or something for next month...

All kinda crazy gonna happen next moth as even if the shutdown is lifted tomorrow these folks are eating February food stamp food in January.

No matter how you look at this, or what side you are on, the fact is we as a Country, are going to see many hungry children next month.

This is not going to end well...

We get storms like this all the time around here.

This is something different.

Worse.

As I said. Prepping. I have family in the corporate level of the grocery industry. This is what they are telling us.
