I think the kid was just uncomfortable, embarrassed, and not sure at all how to behave when this guy just walked up to him and started banging a drum in his face and chanting.

The native American didnt like this and he saw the maga hats so he decided he would go over and start beating his drum loudly to interrupt them

He didn't like them and thought it was his place to break up their rally. He could've freely walked out of there but he chose to plant himself in the midst of them.
The kid he focused on is simply standing still, and looks more uncomfortable by the drum beating inches away from his face, more than he does look disrespectful.
The man beating the drum is the one who placed it near the kid, the kid did not put his face up to the drum.

I did not see a kid with a smug face. I saw a really uncomfortable kid who didn't know to react after being subjected to hateful remarks and racial slurs then having a guy walk up to him and start beating a drum within inches of his nose.
