I see you're in California. I know beautiful gals out there who are being very particular...not wanting to "settle" like we did when I got married. Back then, people thought a woman was weird if you didn't marry by the age of 23.

The women I know in southern California are successful...have good careers and money. They're in their late 30's and would like to get married. They're very active socially (that doesn't mean sexually), and are looking for their ideal mate...just like you are. I think it has something to do with California. Go to Iowa or Nebraska and women will probably fall at your feet. lol

I could have done with skipping some of the drama.

I had reached this happy self-reliant state by the time I became self-sufficient, comfortably numb in a long lasting post-traumatic haze and always keeping busy and distracted with work and life.

I didn't even get the rocker on the porch.

Well if you want kids the ones your age would be too risky to have kids with. Higher chances of serious medical and mental issues with the kids. Best chances of healthy kids would be with a woman in her 20's.

The past few chicks I was dating were talking to at least 5 other dudes so yeah, it's tough if you don't want to get the herp these days.
