'the statistics prove (insert numerous types of illegal activities that spill into AMerican soil after coming from the southern border uninfringed). What if there was a way to funnel all the criminals into specific areas so they can be more easily monitored or captured? What if blocking trade routes for violent & drug, human traffic related resulted in tens of thousands of Humans being saved every single year? Would $5billion be worth the cost? Everybody wins except criminals and wildlife'

he changed his tone big time. he told me he never thought anyone would rationalize the wall in such a way that he would agree with it.

But it goes to show, even smart people can follow a rhetoric without even analyzing it. But as I demonstrated, all it takes is the right type of rhetoric to educate & change someones mind

Right...but once the wall is built it will be so much harder for those drugs to get into our prisons :) the wall will decrease (possible stop them all) the drugs into our country tremendously!! Build the wall!

The wall may not stop all illegals, but it will reduce the number of illegals that get through. The wall makes it harder to cross into the US. It forces illegals to use alternative methods to enter the country such as rivers. If our border patrol agents know this, they only need to patrol a much smaller area, which means illegals have a much higher probability of being caught. By itself, the wall is not the entire solution to the illegal problem, but it's part of the solution.

I appreciate your story with your friend. It's frustrating that your words seem SO OBVIOUS to us -- how do people not know this stuff? And it sounds like once your friend heard these obvious words, he got it too.

POTUS tries to explain it to them since the MSM will not (last couple of speeches and various tweets), but they are trained to HATE him so much that they will not hear it. (They may listen, maybe... but they do not hear it.)
