The sleaziness of the left/Democrats is now at such a high level, I hope something very different happens with the SOTU speech this year.

I'd rather Trump hold it somewhere else, in an alternative public setting. Or that if he does use the House chamber, the libtards end up having empty chairs where Pelosi and other Democrats normally would be sitting.

It always aggravated me that, instead of giving Dr. King his own holiday as he deserved they had to carve it out of Washington's Birthday and Lincoln's Birthday (each with their own holiday) and combine the two and call it "Presidents' Day" which has nothing to do with either Washington OR Lincoln, as far as the dates go.

I used to LOVE February back when I was in school during the 50's and 60's: the shortest month of the year, both Washington's and Lincoln's Birthday off, and Valentines Day for Art classes!

You just KNOW that, "somehow", a "protester" will show up.

As Speaker for the House, isn't she obligated to attend? Just like the Senate Leader and the Supremes? It'll be hilarious to watch the close-ups of her facial grimaces. Remember that one time where it looked like her dentures were slipping?

Maybe we'll get to see if Ginsberg is still alive - - even if she truly IS "recuperating at home" the SOTU is the sort of thing which isn't strenuous and one really SHOULD attend (if one is STILL ALIVE......)

I'm more interested to see if RBG will attend.

I wonder if that was the whole point in canceling the SOTU(?)

In all my 41 years on earth, I have never heard such a powerful and balanced speech. It was flawless. It was all about making America great.

The vile displays by the Democrats is why I no longer associate as a Democrat. This isn't about partisanship - it is about America and the Democrats have proven that they don't just HATE America, they are literally the ENEMY of America.

My daughter came home from college to say she saw it. There were students protesting the speech as racist BEFORE they even saw it!

So she watched it herself with us last night live and she became a believer. "Now I know why you and dad voted for President Trump. Everything Colbert was saying bad about Trump is the complete opposite. I'm never going to watch his show again."

We almost had tears streaming down our faces. Our daughter is growing up, thinking on her on. She has broken free from the cult of corruption and the media.

The best part about the entire speech and what got my daughter to shake her head was when the President, said, ".... we should all stand for the national anthem."

My daughter asked me, "since when is that a partisan issue?"

I said, "since it became American and Patriotic to do so!"

Remember last year when all of the D-Rats sat on their hands while the Repubs were clapping? Even the Black Caucus, when President Trump announce the incredibly successful employment numbers for Blacks sat on their hands. Assholes, thy name is Democrats.

In response to the story of their daughter coming to understand the realities of what is going on:

I, myself, lost respect for Colbert (not 100%) for the way he portrays our President.

It's so wrong on so many levels, that this television personality, who people reguard and look up to, could speak that way about a VERY important figure in our Democratic-republic.

Reguardless of HOW he feels, he should at the least try to keep it neutral, but, "all in name of ratings", of course, why didn't we think of that?
