Maduro is not entrenched enough as president for the military to go to war for him. They are posturing now, yes, but if/when the possibility of real conflict with an actual powerful military becomes a reality, I would think they will back down.

I don't remember who said it but somebody said the key to everything is Venezuela. Keep an eye on Venezuela. I can't remember exactly what they were referencing though but Venezuela was the key.

We could have a flashpoint and it all depends if the Venezuelan Army backs Maduro or Guaido...

I used to listen to George Noory a lot. I think it was one of the people that he had on his show talking about the future of the United States and they were referencing Venezuela as being the key to what's going to happen here in the United States. Once you see Venezuela popping off things are going to happen.

I am totally anti-socialism and despot rulers, but I'm further opposed to the US govt overthrowing other countries leadership. Let the people of that country handle their own problem.

I agree with Jake. What military have we even moved closer to Venezuela since the caravan? A few unarmed NG on the Mexican border? That wouldn't help if we were planning on going after Maduro before the caravan.

We wouldn't need an excuse to move troops closer to Venezuela. We'd just send an aircraft carrier group on a "routine" visit to Colombia.
