It's all still at an impasse because there is to be no elections as far as I'm aware and the opposition isn't willing to come to the table.

it seems like US/Guaido won't be interested in talking, although both Maduro and the Venezuelan Rep at the UN today said they are open to talking. Seems like US/Guaido will only be happy with Maduro standing down or being overthrown by some means (maybe not military at this stage, but by other means). But Maduro (together with his military) sounds like he wont be standing down. What do you think? . . impasse, as you say.

Venezuelas Arreaza follows with it's own request to speak, claims Colombians and a Peruvian from Miami plotted a failed attempt against Maduro, claims to support Colombia in the only armed conflict in Latin America, tells European countries that gave Venezuela an 8 day ultimatum to take that time to think about their actions.

Colombia to defend it's dignity and responds against Arreaza claims, oh boy.

and the Russians call for the floor to state that the majority of countries want non intervention, oh it appears Nebenzya is a bit paranoid about the number 8, calls it a "formula" ask "Why 8!? Why not 7?"

It's like a question of who blinks first, Maduro isn't going to give away his position, so now its down to Guaido will he force the situation and encourage protests where the crowd could potentially be fired upon (civil war) or will he carry on barking?

Maduro had the advantage, it's down to the opposition to take it to civil war or not.
