Your view is the US deliberately avoids becoming energy independent out of choice. Ok, lol.

Meanwhile back in the real world the US has been doing it's utmost to become energy independent but is held back by ever increasing levels of consumption, constraints on infrastructure, transportation and other countries whose costs are far less making the price of extracting potential oil from areas in the US unprofitable.

Even if the US was ever to become energy dependent one day(won't happen) the time it would take to bridge that gap would be so long that it is meaningless in the context of the current geopolitical situations. Hence why the US regime change globalists are so keen to steal the Venezuelan oil and re-distribute profits as they see fit.

Apparently, this time the US isn’t relying on internal opposition. Experts already said that the mutiny initiated by Washington is original and unprecedented, because the US simply recognised the the speaker of parliament Juan Guaido, who appointed himself as the interim president, as the acting head of state. However, originality and unprecedentedness in this case lies only in the speed of recognition and the degree of openness of the American interference.

Trump’s Twitter declared Guaido’s recognition a few minutes (about half an hour) after his self-declaration. At the same time, Washington neglected all existing norms of international law. But this is exactly the same scheme that was used in Libya against Gaddafi and in Syria against Assad.

The US is attempting to DOMINATE Venezuela. Some of you people just do not seem to understand how the world really works.
