Lavrov condemns 'destructive interference' by US

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Saturday condemned what he called America's "flagrant interference" and "destructive influence" in Venezuela, in a telephone conversation with his US counterpart Mike Pompeo.

"The provocation and external destructive influence, under the hypocritical pretext of humanitarian aid has nothing to do with the democratic process," said Lavrov, in comments cited by his foreign ministry.

Lavrov to Pompeo: We can talk Venezuela, but US must stop threatening its legitimate govt


The US attempts to threaten Venezuela and meddle in the country’s affairs under the guise of supplying humanitarian aid have nothing to do with democracy, Russian FM Sergey Lavrov told his American counterpart, Mike Pompeo.

The top diplomats talked on the phone on Saturday on the initiative of Washington, the Russia Foreign Ministry said.

During the conversation, Lavrov blasted the American threats against the government of Nicolas Maduro, calling them “blatant interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state and a flagrant violation of international law.”

Venezuelan VP tells how Caracas fights sanctions & what awaits Guaido once he's back

Washington has warned Caracas of "serious consequences" if it harms Guaido, who could face up to 30 years in prison, according to a judge of the country's Supreme Tribunal for Justice. Deputy judge Juan Carlos Valdez said that Guaido, who violated a travel ban on February 22 when he crossed into Colombia, was "hiding from justice" and would be "caught and sent to prison" when he comes back.

Guaido named himself President of Venezuela.

He is legit as the Head of the House of Representatives.

He is NOT legit as the President of Venezuela. No one ever voted Guaido for President. He is self-named.

That he is helped by foreign powers does not make him a legit President of Venezuela either.

Maduro is the legit President, like him or not.

and President Maduro is being besieged by International Gangster Sovereign Powers.

I have a feeling Venezuela will be Syria 2.0, danger is that it is close to the US border, the US will be alot more daring and hungry with it than Syria
