One of Venezuela’s main substations that was keeping electricity flowing is now on fire. Venezuela has lost power on a larger scale than originally on Thursday. All hydroelectric plants in the south are basically useless now

Still biggest mistake for Venezuelan was made back in 1999 when Chavez took power. Agriculture was well developed back then but Chavez decided they will neglect it and import everything necessary with oil money. If they wouldn't do that, at least they wouldn't be hungry today.

Poor management and corruption is of course big problem there but they should overcome this with the resources they posses. They truly are number one in PROVEN oil reserves.

Interesting when people say that USA doesn't need oil, that their own reserves are more then enough but official data doesn't confirm this at all.

Venezuela is strongly on first place while USA is on 11th just above Kazakhstan and with half less of what Russia has. When it comes to gas, Russia is firmly on first place while Iran is second.

And you haven't provided any proof that dismisses US involvement either. I said from the start, it just seems like one hell of a coincidence, and I stand by that. And US regime change history doesn't do them any favours.

And suspecting the involvement of a people like Bolton, Abrams etc, (again, look at the history) doesn't equate with 'hating America', America is more than those people.

I don't know...its a discussion like any other. I try to make it respectful. And regime change discussion is fitting perfectly in it since it is the cause of the crisis. The problem most likely is that the truth is inconvenient for most.

Personally I don't care and I don't want to convince anybody. I'm just stating my opinion and that's what internet forum is all about.

I'm not anti American. I never was! But I'm strongly allergic to American patriots who think that use of American military abroad for ANY kind of reason is justifiable. People like that are part of the problem, they can't see two inches infront of their noses, all they can see is how America should rule everywhere.

That mentality has to change before we can step into future, together.
