Arrived in my Caracas hotel room to find there an Arab wedding party of 20 + the bride. Her suite was given away in the blackout chaos, so they took the 1st room without guest present: mine. Dont know if I’m more shocked that I dont have a bed or there’s a wedding during blackout

More than 10,000 kidney patients in danger after third day of blackout in Venezuela

"The situation of people with kidney failure is very difficult, critical, we are talking about 95% of the dialysis units , and today would reach 100%, are paralyzed, due to the interruption of electricity,"

"In the few dialysis units where there were power plants for today it has become difficult to reconnect them due to lack of fuel," warned Valencia, also a kidney transplant.

The situation is more dramatic in the states of the interior of the country where they add about 50 hours of uninterrupted blackout . In Caracas there have been recoveries in some sectors for periods of several hours.

Valencia warned that kidney patients already begin to experience complications.

"We have got swollen patients due to the lack of dialysis, then there is swelling of the extremities, which could cause cardiac arrest and other complications that could lead to the death of more than 10,200 people on dialysis in the country," he remarked.

Caracas has long been deliberately protected from the extended powercuts which affect the rest of the country. It was considered politically expedient to keep the lights on in the densely populated capital. Tonight the city is in total blackout. #Venezuela

I hate that term and all it stands for and it is clear that this whole mess has been done deliberately to bring around regime change.
The people who want this don't give a toss about human life, just the power and influence the eventual outcome it will bring to them.
I read a report yesterday about the drone program in pak n afghan where so far over 1700 civilians, mostly women n children, have been killed to get the few targets they wanted - sick world man and i don't like the muzz!
And where is the media outrage? None cos they are working for the same people, it all gets twisted back onto the reason it needs to be done and in this case Maduro, so they are saying he is killing them by not leaving which is some twisted bs and a clear marker as to who is responsible.

Anyway, outside the cities people will get by just fine after some readjustment to lifestyle, inside cities is where the issues will be and after a few more days it will be critical imo, definitely one to watch.
