Very interesting article, but entirely one-sided. It does not address conditions under which Venezuelan citizens had been living for some time - desperate for income, for food. If Maduro is the prince to the rescue, why had he not cared for his people appropriately prior to this mess?

I am not interested in the politics of the mess - I want to see the people with jobs, food, clean running water, decent living. What's that going to take? Well, Maduro didn't get the job done - obviously! He could have done the right things in past years and the issue would never have come to this.

Now people want him to stay in power? Why? What do the citizens of the country want? I think they don't care right now, as long as they are guaranteed jobs, decent living wages, food in the stores, water in the pipes.
