First thing is that Guaido is nobody, he has no legitimacy but supporting hand of USA. He was picked by foreigners not Venezuelan people. Therefore, if Venezuelan people are smart they should reject any involvement with him. He is a puppet.

It would be nothing wrong if he would led the uprising but after the job is done there should be elections.

Problem is that if Guaido would led the uprising and won, his popularity would skyrocket cause of that and would probably easily won the elections that would follow. And here we are again with the sneaky tactics they use. Guaido has no credentials for the role and all accomplishment he could show to people is he beat the dictator. That in reality is not enough to lead a country, specially if you are picked from outside. But to people would probably be enough.

Brazil's Bolsonaro in US to Cement Alliance With Trump

Why have Venezuelans been living in harsh conditions ? Besides the very low oil prices of 2014 that kickstarted the issues, it's primarily because of the unbearable sanctions imposed first and foremost by the US.

Leave Venezuela completely alone and let's see what they can do for themselves. Until then, it's ridiculous to blame another country for its problems when you're strongly responsible for its present situation.

Same thing goes for Ukraine that fell in their trap. Half of Ukraine was lured with promises of prosperity and riches of the West compared to the state they were in that was direct cause of communist USSR. But five years later they live in much worse conditions that they did before the war. So the main promise of the West so far was not met.

Ordinary people care only about that, the patriots/nazis had other scores to settle, justified or not in most cases not and its the nazis that hijacked Ukraine not ordinary people. Ordinary people believe in better life so that their daughters wont have to whore themselves all over the world anymore and their men could actually feed them.

But again, Ukraine today is worse then it was under Russian influence. So who is gona rebuild Ukraine? Who will pay for their prosperity? It is a big country, big task, biggest in Europe if we ignore Russia and every inch of it lays in trash. Who will fulfill the promise?

Before the war Russians financed Ukrainians in greater deal then they were obliged to. They were selling them gas practically for free and even deleting Ukrainian debts to Moscow. Today, Crimea is thriving. Highways and bridges are being build, state of the art energy plants, tourism is booming things are getting in order.

But what's left of western promises in Ukraine, why was that necessary? Cause some butthurt low IQ nazi thought Russians killed his relatives in Holodomor? There were Russians, Ukrainians, Poles, Tatars all sorts of people dying in Holodomor. It wasn't aimed at Ukrainian people, it was aimed at people, period and it was done by bolsheviks not Russians. Bolsheviks killed Russians as well in millions. So why give stage to low IQ nazi who thinks Russia owns him something?

The US tried to sabotage the Iranian electrical grid and has used electricity attacks in previous coups, so this is part of the US coup playbook.

During our stay, CNN also reported that the drone assassination attempt against President Maduro last August was organized in Colombia and that the US was in close contact with the assassination plotters. It was also confirmed by the NY Times that it was the opposition who burned USAID trucks on February 23 at the border, the day of the humanitarian aid defeat. This corroborates the report by the Grayzone Project the day it occurred.

Massive Blackout Hits Venezuela's Caracas Again, Reason Behind Outage Unknown

A massive power outage occurred again in various parts of the Venezuelan capital of Caracas and nearby localities, eyewitnesses of the incident told Sputnik on Monday.

The blackout is reported mainly by the inhabitants of East Caracas, namely the districts of Altamira, La Urbina, El Cafetal, El Rosal, Los Palos Grandes, and others.

The causes of the latest blackout are still unknown. However, a number of media outlets cite an explosion, which allegedly occurred at an electrical substation in the industrial area of Cloris east of Caracas, as a possible cause. The Venezuelan authorities have not yet commented on these reports

To who's standards are you comparing their lives too exactly..? Different economies equal different living standards! If a people is happy with their way of living they should not be disturbed by any outside governments.. the legitimate president of Venezuela is doing right by his country and his fellow people. Capitalism is what's taking place here. The greed of the few are trying to take away weekday the rest have. Before our involvement, Venezuela as a country as well as a whole had a steady and promising up and coming economy.. do your math and you'll find a reasonable conclusion as to what is really taking place.. make the effort to not be so dense..

At a recent US House hearing, one of the expert witnesses testified that such an invasion would require between 100,000 and 150,000 US troops, going up against maybe three times that number of Venezuelan troops in a country twice the size of Iraq. With a lot of jungle. All for a “prize” that has nothing to do with US security. If the president makes such a foolish move he might find the current war cheerleaders in the Democrat Party changing their tune rather quickly. Let’s hope Trump changes his tune and returns to his promises of no more regime change wars.

As the crisis in Venezuela mounts, tensions between Turkey and the United States appear to be heading towards a standoff over Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s support for his embattled Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro.

The United States has come out strongly in support of Juan Guaido, president of Venezuela’s National Assembly, who is challenging Maduro.
