Maduro congratulates military for ‘defeating’ coup attempt as Guaido calls for more protests

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has congratulated the military for “defeating” the plotters of a coup after a day of protests called for by opposition leader Juan Guaido.
Maduro called the opposition supporters a "small group that tried to fill the country with violence" and confirmed his government has faced several "modalities" of a coup d'état.

I think so too, as Maduro has not done well for his people. He is clean and more than well-fed, with hungry constituents.

Many people blame the US for "running a take-over" but what less would Russia or China do? They would be far worse, in my estimation, and then be ready to attack us from such a close position.

I do believe you to be correct, sir, since this is the day the gentleman chose to have a march, did he not? Along with demonstrations and other activities. If his plan continues, this should be far worse than yesterday.

However, I must ask - why did he begin the day prior to his original plan? Did Maduro force his hand in some way?

Our forefathers were very clear that we as citizens must hold the politicians accountable and if they were not representing us appropriately, that the blood of patriots must water the land so that the government would, after a revolution, again be a government of, by, and for the people.
