Section 3 of the Constitution gives Trump authority to hold it wherever he wants. So she can't actually stop him. There is an issue where Pelosi technically controls the cameras allowed in the Senate and even control of the lights. But not the Senate floor itself if the President wants to use it.

Of course Trump can literally hold it anywhere he wants. Including in Congress.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out but Trump has a lot more power and options than she does. She can't actually stop it.

Actually The President can deploy the Marines anywhere in this country that he wants to.

They have been used before to guard the mail and protect trains from being robbed.

John F. Kennedy, remarked that during the Cuban missile crisis he discovered that the only US troops under his direct command were The Marine Band.

He said he planned to defend the White House against anyone that dared to attack it.

It seems like a great joke but Besides being very talented Musicians (perhaps even the best in our country) all members of the Marine Band are held to the same exacting standards as all Marines, and are trained the same as every other Marine in the fleet in all forms of combat training.

I am not kidding when I say that in a time of National emergency President Trump can order the Marines to do ANYTHING he needs done.

"Can't" is such a strong word...there are exceptions to most rules. Also, FYI, the National Guard, by most opinions, is considered "military."

I sort of admire her idiocy.

I admittedly have been less than thrilled when the president has tweeted about "low IQ," "horseface," "little" or "failing." Mainly because such words are too politically ambiguous. They don't explain why people or things are so idiotic. Those words or phrases also have made Trump seem overly jocular.

But Pelosi, with her na-na-na-na-na taunt of "I won't let you in" - has hit one out of the ballpark.

It's not illegal. It's not a violation of the constitution. The president is not entitled to give an address in the house if it is opposed by the house.

She's really making a very bad call, but it's entirely within her authority to do so.

The lights thing is a technicality but is included in her definition of things the speaker is in charge if. I haven't found the legal document that explains it yet to see exactly how it's worded.
