Re: Dunkin’ Donuts CEO Who Makes $4,887 an Hour Outraged at $15 Minimum Wage
You people who think $15 an hour is excessive have absolutely drank the kool-aid.
 Quoting: godblessya!

If you took 100% of the profit that Dunkin Donuts makes, it wouldn't be enough to pay all their employees $15 per hour.

So where's the money gonna come from? Would you go to Dunkin Donuts if a large regular was $6.00?
 Quoting: R. Wordsworth

That's not the issue. Wages have been suppressed for years and prices have been artificially suppressed for years. People should be paid a fair wage across the board and prices would go up to be sure, but part of that should also be a reduction in the obscene salaries paid out. It is not just the CEO making that type of money, there are always several there, and no, he is not worth that much, just like the sports figures and entertainers are not worth that much. But

I do not hold out hope for any change as people are sheople and they will defend those who prey on them until the bitter end. Minimum wage is barely more than double that of 40 years ago. 40 years?! You see nothing wrong with that picture and try to defend the system as it stands? Really?
 Quoting: godblessya!

If you take the CEOs salary, it's a $0.08 per hour raise for the 67,000 employees of Dunkin Donuts.

When this CEO took over, he grew the company by something like 65%.

So tens of thousands of those workers would not even have a job if not for him, is that not worth them making $0.08 less per hour?

1dunno1
 Quoting: R. Wordsworth

He's not worth $4k an hour. It is not about dd, it is about the whole system that is corrupted.

On the flip side, do you think that people working 2 full time jobs and sleeping in their car cuz they can't afford rent is a viable solution for our country?

No one should get $15 an hour working fast food. No one. Just automate and fire them all.
 Quoting: Icey

LOL, you ever work a fast food or retail job?

The whole automated thing has to contend with these people:

A. Those who don't understand how to use self-checkout or the kiosk at McDonald's (and there's always someone there to help these imbeciles when they inevitably fuck something up, no matter how user friendly they make them).

B. The "I won't use self-checkout because if I'm gonna be cashiering, I should be getting paid."

C. Think automation kills, and steals jobs from actual people so they don't support it.
 Quoting: Apep

It will be done. Automation is coming. China is already way ahead of us, young people like it as this is what they've been groomed into, and people like us and our wants and desires will not be relevant.

Jealousy really drives a lot of people. He's running one of the most profitable and largest franchise operations in the US and the employees are running a coffee machine.

And what's with your preoccupation about what other people have, it's weird.

ALL CEO's are grossly OVERPAID.

The employees do all the work, NOT the CEO!

Yes. A guy to runs the ship of a corporation that generates over a billion in revenue annually.... or $479,156 per hour.... based on a 2087 work year, of course.

the whole point of 'marxism' was ownership of the means of production by the proletariat.

for dummies that means the workers Own the fucking corporations they work for. they don't have to necessarily have all the profits confiscated by a 'ceo' and a business priesthood of 'executives' and get paid a slave wage

Well now this isn't true either. Plenty of people are so incompetent at running a business that they run it right into the ground and outta business you go. You have to have a good person at the helm, the brains of the operation if you will, and that person *is* entitled to and worthy of a higher salary. The enormousness of the disparity is what I object to. If executive salaries throughout the entire establishment were cut, it would amount to a lot more than the 8 cents previously spoken of on this thread.

why do we evven need ads for dunkin donuts with 'celebrity' endorsements? are we idiots, we need Dennis Rodman to tell us dunkin donuts are good?

they could charge less for the donuts without the bullshit psycho op propoganda posing as ads and they would do a lot more business.

if you are sam walton, then I have total respect for a CEO like that.

i read in his book, where he wouldn't stay in hotels, slept in cars, never flew, pinched pennies in everyway he could so he could charge lower prices, he built walmart up right smack in the middle of a rigged market meant for competition to fail. he was a hercules. he deserved every dime, it's his business, he can do anything he wants with his business, fire hire anybody.

when these corporate raiders buy up the company with their fake bonds, their fake bank money, and steal all the workers money they are nothing but thieves and grifters and should be serving consecutive life sentences for every million dollars they embezzle. because a million dollars is a life sentence of slavery for an average worker

You can't just raise the minimum wage for menial task workers. They do not possess a unique skillset that isn't easily replaced. You start paying people who do extreme simpleton jobs more than they deserve and all it does is drive inflation through the roof. Cost of living, food, gas etc. will simply rise and negate the increase and cost everyone more money.

i don't blame you for not being able to grasp the essence of your 'economy', because it's such a mind blowing craptastic scam.

the top 500 corporations don't have to make any money, they get money from the banks if they don't make a profit. in reality there is no demarcation between the banks and the businesses now. they can loan themselves money, and then they even default on themselves and make YOU pay it back, it's such a joke.

but serfs don't mind being serfs, they just want something to occupy their time so they don't have to think about how these jerks fuck you up the ass every minute of your life

put your faith in christ, not money, money is a false god and an illusion. in satan's control it is nothing but a demonic weapon of enslavement and corrutpion and torment.

money could have easily liberated man from all unnecessary toil and drudgery and inequality but it fell into the wrong hands.

taht's why they are running around invading oil countries, the petro dollar backed by oil is the only thing that can save them.

there should be laws forbidding collusion between an unconstitutional standing army, that wages wars for private interests and is funded entirely by the taxpayers.

the military does not belong to oil corporations. there must be no collusion between them. we do not kill people for oil, we do not wage war for oil, we negotiate peacefully and fairly.

Re: Dunkin’ Donuts CEO Who Makes $4,887 an Hour Outraged at $15 Minimum Wage
...

Really?

If you take the CEOs salary, it's a $0.08 per hour raise for the 67,000 employees of Dunkin Donuts.

When this CEO took over, he grew the company by something like 65%.

So tens of thousands of those workers would not even have a job if not for him, is that not worth them making $0.08 less per hour?

He's not worth $4k an hour. It is not about dd, it is about the whole system that is corrupted.

On the flip side, do you think that people working 2 full time jobs and sleeping in their car cuz they can't afford rent is a viable solution for our country?
 Quoting: godblessya!

Any person on this planet worth over a billion dollars has people suffering beneath them. Every single one of them. Global reset will never come. If it did, a thousand years later we’d probably be dealing with it again. This world is a materialistic pile of shit and billions of people will continually suffer while a couple thousand sit on their high horses. Millions striving to be a fraction of what they are worth. Millions who will contribute to that suffering.

 Quoting: godblessya!

bullshit, you could find christian VOLUNTEERS to run the company soley for the mutual benefit and good will of the community. if greed is your sole motive, why the FUCK would I even trust you with the details of accounting?
 Quoting: GotoHeck

A business will not stay in business unless it makes a profit. It is not greed to want to make a reasonable profit. In mom and pop type businesses, that is their salary.

You are speaking of an entitiy like a pantry. Volunteers running it for the good of the community and no one gets paid, what doe the customers pay for the items? Still supplies must be purchased, utilities paid, bills paid, etc.

I assume you have not worked for free your entire life. You are your own little business, putting yourself out for hire to make a profit to pay your own bills.

I don't really understand your reasoning. We do not live in a utopian society where everybody gives and takes as they need where money is not a neccessity...
 Quoting: godblessya!

i don't blame you for not being able to grasp the essence of your 'economy', because it's such a mind blowing craptastic scam.

the top 500 corporations don't have to make any money, they get money from the banks if they don't make a profit. in reality there is no demarcation between the banks and the businesses now. they can loan themselves money, and then they even default on themselves and make YOU pay it back, it's such a joke.

but serfs don't mind being serfs, they just want something to occupy their time so they don't have to think about how these jerks fuck you up the ass every minute of your life

put your faith in christ, not money, money is a false god and an illusion. in satan's control it is nothing but a demonic weapon of enslavement and corrutpion and torment.

money could have easily liberated man from all unnecessary toil and drudgery and inequality but it fell into the wrong hands.

taht's why they are running around invading oil countries, the petro dollar backed by oil is the only thing that can save them.

there should be laws forbidding collusion between an unconstitutional standing army, that wages wars for private interests and is funded entirely by the taxpayers.

the military does not belong to oil corporations. there must be no collusion between them. we do not kill people for oil, we do not wage war for oil, we negotiate peacefully and fairly.
 Quoting: GotoHeck

no, I do understand. We will never make it better. How many revolutions have their been. We revert back to kind because we are cruel and apathetic as a species, and if it doesn't affect us personally, oh well, sucks to be you hahaha.

But a CEO does deserve a better salary than a counter clerk. Just not that big of one.

But until the Lord comes back we is who we is, and we are essentially evil, even if we think we are good by our standards.

If we were truly good, there would not be a hungry person in the world today. But there are millions. And the sharks circle the prey and devour us as they will...and we cooperate in our destruction because we are sheep for the most part.

Re: Dunkin’ Donuts CEO Who Makes $4,887 an Hour Outraged at $15 Minimum Wage
You can't just raise the minimum wage for menial task workers. They do not possess a unique skillset that isn't easily replaced. You start paying people who do extreme simpleton jobs more than they deserve and all it does is drive inflation through the roof. Cost of living, food, gas etc. will simply rise and negate the increase and cost everyone more money.
 Quoting: Toes

'menial task' meaning real actual work.

'unique skillset' meaning your ability to own shit because the court and police say you get to own it

the great depression was massive deflation, people producing so much goods there wasn't enough money for people to use, all they had to do was create more money and give it to people for free. that is exactly what the third reich was doing, that created greatest economic expansion in history, that's why war was declared on them.

the russia czar did the exact same thing and was assassinated for it.

their processes and simple economic strategies had to be bombed with millions of bombs to prevent the masses from becoming free.

"I earn $4,887.00 an hour and I am OUTRAGED that my employees earn $15.00 an hour"

LOL

The EMPLOYEE SLAVES are who is keeping the business going, not the CEO earning $4,887.00 an hour!!!

That CEO needs to be punched in the face!
 Quoting: The Knowing One

That means it cost each employee 7 cents per hour to pay his salary, since there are 67,000 people that work at Dunkin' Doughnuts. I'd pay 7 cents per hour to the man that keeps me employed.

On the other hand, the employees cost Dunkin' Doughnuts over $500,000 per hour.
