You people who think $15 an hour is excessive have absolutely drank the kool-aid.
Quoting: godblessya! If you took 100% of the profit that Dunkin Donuts makes, it wouldn't be enough to pay all their employees $15 per hour. So where's the money gonna come from? Would you go to Dunkin Donuts if a large regular was $6.00? That's not the issue. Wages have been suppressed for years and prices have been artificially suppressed for years. People should be paid a fair wage across the board and prices would go up to be sure, but part of that should also be a reduction in the obscene salaries paid out. It is not just the CEO making that type of money, there are always several there, and no, he is not worth that much, just like the sports figures and entertainers are not worth that much. But I do not hold out hope for any change as people are sheople and they will defend those who prey on them until the bitter end. Minimum wage is barely more than double that of 40 years ago. 40 years?! You see nothing wrong with that picture and try to defend the system as it stands? Really? If you take the CEOs salary, it's a $0.08 per hour raise for the 67,000 employees of Dunkin Donuts. When this CEO took over, he grew the company by something like 65%. So tens of thousands of those workers would not even have a job if not for him, is that not worth them making $0.08 less per hour?
