It occurred to me awile back that a pair of binoculars might give you just enough time to get away. Say you are on your commute to or from work. Traffic comes to a stop on the interstate. Use the binoculars to find out why. I have a very good one that compacts into a size small enough to fit in a flannel shirt pocket. Would be useful if you did have to vacate your vehicle. That is another reason to always know where you are. Know which way to safety.
