It is also a low-end HP and was made in China. eBay was the only place I could find a keyboard, with all sellers shipping from China. Cheap, though. $14 and free shipping.
Actually,I ordered two so I'll have a spare.
Quoting: Crunch62 Do you ever deal with New Egg? It's the first place I'd look for computer parts, but I don't know of many others, yet, so I'd appreciate any recommendations. While I'm as aware as anybody how much tech stuff is being put together in China - not always a good thing, sometimes even with deadly effects, as in airplane parts- it simply didn't occur to me to have a part shipped to me directly from China instead of from an American seller or distributor. Does Ebay provide the same protections that Amazon does? Do you have a favorite seller to recommend? I've tried to buy discount software that turned out to be in another country and either got a stolen key or didn't get anything at all. The bank helps out for small amounts, once or twice a year, if I lose my money but they get mad at me if it happens too often, so I have to stick to 'approved stores' now, at least until I learn who the best sellers are.:) Quoting: whispering leaves I have purchased from newegg, but in my job it was mostly vendors such as CDWG and ITSavvy. eBay/Paypal do provide protections but probably not as accomodating as amazon. The biggest problem with orderingdirectly from china isthe delivery time. 3-6 weeks, usually. I have seen some of the same items offered by US sellers at a high markup (meaning they bought it from china, waited for the shipping and now looking fora profit), but not in the case of this keyboard. I would have paid $30 for a keyboard from a US seller who could deliver in 3 days, butI couldn't find one.
