Re: Your first movie theater film?
probably the re-release of 101 dalmatians in 1976 (6) in the UK
then superman the movie in 1979 (9)
then 1941 in 1980 (10)
the empire strikes back also in 1980 (10) on holiday

funny stories about both empire and superman

empire i went to see down in blackpool on my holidays, but went in HALF WAY THROUGH ..... disappoints i know ..... but the good people at the cinema let me see it again, well the FIRST HALF of it tounge

superman was the same, got in twenty minutes into it, but again decided to ask if i could see it again ..... and saw ALL of it again!!! hell of a day .....

Re: Your first movie theater film?
First one I actually remember was Tarzan and the Lost Safari. My mom would give each of us a quarter for the movie and a dime for a snack and send us off to the local theater every Saturday afternoon. Usually a double feature - and the dime bought both popcorn and a soda. I guess I really am getting old, LOL.
More deplorable all the time.

My mom says Alien but the first one I really remember was The Thing. I think I was 5 years old. She said she tried to drag me out of the theater but I cried and just wanted to sit on my dads lap and watch it. One of my favorite films still to this day.

the incredible shrinking woman.

I was 7, my brother 4, and my aunt took us on the train to philly with a couple of her friends to see the movie. my brother was climbing over the seats from row to row and that was the one and only time my aunt ever took us to a movie.
