Yeah Storm, 'Location, location, location!,' as they say in real estate. The best I got going now and foreseeable future is to embrace the life of a Nomad when stuff starts moving the masses around against their will.

Y'all are seeing 1st pg threads this a.m. where in FL and in LA they're hearing booms, feeling quakes?!

Next 24-48 hrs is going to be very interesting.

The good news of the day is that I'm finishing my last cup of coffee and able to cuss-n-discuss all manners of things w/ you crazy people. On that note, I quote Warren Zevon...'Enjoy every sammich!!'

I think there will be many "nomads" I remember a story about someone asking a nomadic people in the middle east why they didn't settle down and plant roots somewhere.

They told the person asking, that generations ago they lived in a town and earthquakes destoryed it, so they rebuilt and again it was destroyed, this happened for so many years that they gave up and became a nomadic tribe.

I don't think any of us will wind up where we started when this thing is over.

Well, that's depressing.

Can we at least get rid of all central banking? That would help a lot. ha.

It sure would, the way it normally goes when a fiat currency collapse is that for a period people keep trading them because there is nothing to replace it with you just don't want to be the last one holding worthless paper.

In a former time in my life, I starting reading books upon books. This whole doom scenario reminds me of the book "Lucifer's Hammer" by Niven/Pournell from 1985...

The gigantic comet had slammed into Earth, forging earthquakes a thousand times too powerful to measure on the Richter scale, tidal waves thousands of feet high. Cities were turned into oceans; oceans turned into steam. It was the beginning of a new Ice Age and the end of civilization. But for the terrified men and women chance had saved, it was also the dawn of a new struggle for survival--a struggle more dangerous and challenging than any they had ever known....

Ben is salivating over the Hannes - the same way I did. I went further into MHD, as I am an Engineer. I used formulas to figure out this plasticity... I discuss this buried deep into the site under Visions.

Hannes Alfven, discovered "magnetohydrodynamic" energy, or MHD in 1950's. He expanded his theory by showing that space is literally a sea of MHD energy. If our planet Earth's magnetic field is disrupted, it effects it's MHD energy structure. Our Earth's crustal shell is under a torque currently tending to rotate the shell about the globe's interior.

Yep - over in Trey is Wilson's thread, Thread: Hidden Catastrophe Science **UPDATE 4/27 ** - Episode 4- Hidden Catastrophe Science | The Trigger of the End- link in OP I posted this about the Thomas books:

I have a Yellow Paperback bound Color First Printing of the Third Edition from Emerson House 1965. It is 57 pages long.

I peaked at my leather bound Color copy also. It is the Second Printing of the Third Edition from Emerson House 1966. It is 57 pages long. This book will be For Sale soon.

My autographed paperback is a First Edition Printing from Bengal Tiger Press 1993. It is 112 pages long. It includes Aftermath.

It seems the 1971 Postlude was a separate Book. It is 28 Pages.

I am going to scan "Aftermath" into a PDF next.... Here are the contents: [link to nemesis8.com (secure)]

Re: *****
This NASA paper from the 2011 Earthquake in Japan shows that earth's axis can be changed, if earth were to get hit by a large CME at the start of solar cycle 25, when our magnetosphere has weakened even further then we could see a series of large quakes and core instability.
This would result in crustal displacements on a regional scale, along with damages from the CME.

cormass

[link to www.nasa.gov (secure)]
The calculations also show the Japan quake should have shifted the position of Earth's figure axis (the axis about which Earth's mass is balanced) by about 17 centimeters (6.5 inches), towards 133 degrees east longitude. Earth's figure axis should not be confused with its north-south axis; they are offset by about 10 meters (about 33 feet). This shift in Earth's figure axis will cause Earth to wobble a bit differently as it rotates, but it will not cause a shift of Earth's axis in space—only external forces such as the gravitational attraction of the sun, moon and planets can do that. [less than 50%]

Previous studies identified glacial rebound as the key contributor to long-term polar motion. And what is glacial rebound? During the last ice age, heavy glaciers depressed Earth's surface much like a mattress depresses when you sit on it. As that ice melts, or is removed, the land slowly rises back to its original position. In the new study, which relied heavily on a statistical analysis of such rebound, scientists figured out that glacial rebound is likely to be responsible for only about a third of the polar drift in the 20th century.
The authors argue that mantle convection makes up the final third. Mantle convection is responsible for the movement of tectonic plates on Earth's surface. It is basically the circulation of material in the mantle caused by heat from Earth's core. Ivins describes it as similar to a pot of soup placed on the stove. As the pot, or mantle, heats, the pieces of the soup begin to rise and fall, essentially forming a vertical circulation pattern -- just like the rocks moving through Earth's mantle
[less than 50%]

If our axis is shifting then the weather events we have already been experiencing are going to get worse.
I have stated many times that I believe these events will take place in slow motion to us, but in fast geological speeds. I believe the mantle itself is shifting and taking the crust along for the ride (a slow one).

As will I. If the winds from the coronal hole was a contributing factor in the uptick of quakes, we should expect the trend to continue as we are still feeling the effects of that massive hole (which closed up recently).

Yep, that quake in Bolivia had a 4.0 pre quake, I saw it and a deep one off of the coast of Japan on Wen. but didn't post cause I'm getting tired of posting articles and stats that not many are watching or reading and then seeing a short thread with a video link get pinned for 24 hours.

I've been told all of this can just be googled anyway, and that all of my theory on PARTIAL crustal displacement is old news, plus people get real turfy if I mention micro nova, saying any and all discussion should go through them.

It's like your talking to a co-worker about a book or movie you watched, and a third worker comes up and says they were the one that recommened it to you a week ago ( and you said you'd heard of it and been meaning to see or read it) so now anytime someone mentions it they want to be "the expert" on the topic.

yeah it came out in 2009 or 2010, But at this point I really don't concentrate on what the ancients knew, because I know something happened and will again.

It's kind of like saying that an EF5 tornado struck on a certain day, hour, and place last year. a lot of people would say that it's going to hit again on the same day, hour and place this year or every 10 years, but it never happens exactly the same so the best we can do is pay attention to the signals and prepare for whats coming.

This study provides evidence of an enormous solar storm around 2,610 B.P. It is only the third such event reliably documented and is comparable with the strongest event detected at AD 774/775. The event of 2,610 years B.P. stands out because of its particular signature in the radionuclide data [i.e., carbon-14 (14C) data alone does not allow for an unequivocal detection of the event]. It illustrates that present efforts to find such events based solely on 14C data likely lead to an underestimated number of such potentially devastating events for our society. In addition to 14C data, high-resolution records of beryllium-10 and chlorine-36 are crucial for reliable estimates of the occurrence rate and the properties of past solar proton events[less than 50%]

The next solar tsunami is anticipated in 2020, in an event will kick-off sunspot cycle 25. The tsunami will cause a rapid growth in space weather events that will appear as massive eruptions of matter, magnetism and energy that blast out toward into space, and sometimes directed at the Earth. These space weather events are extremely hazardous to our technology-based society and so understanding the start of the Sun’s next decade-long stormy season has great value to help prevent damage to critical pieces of infrastructure on the ground, and in space.[less than 50%

this video is old but dose a good job explaining solar tsunamis

Your last post was interesting. I have a cold I am trying to recouperate from. I will revisit the technical post when I am feeling better. Never knew there were solar tsunamis. There are inbound solar flares but the quakes are ramping up prior to their arrival. The Mississippi being flooded at the beginning of spring sounds like trouble in the making.
