I like your theory on Partial crustal shift caused by the Sun. I see that could definitely happen in the future. What I would like to mention is that the magnetic pole shift may not be instantaneous. The last one took around 100 years to complete. Yes, the magnetosphere is oscillating along with the Van Allen Belts. If you look at an oscillating Sine/Cosine wave, there is a point where the waveform collapses to zero. During the magnetic reversal, the magnetic field will collapse to zero. It may stay there for a fraction of a second or for a long time. While the magnetic field is down, the Earth will be bombarded by high levels of radiation. This will effect all life on our planet. This will occur during a Solar Maximum, within 5-9 years from now. That means even a small G-class flare could fry out our electric grid...

As of the magnetic poles breaking up into 2 dipoles, notice that one is stronger than the other. What happens if one dipole flips and the other stays the same???

The results could mean that the Earth could change its axis by "X" amount of degrees. This can be seen from other posters that put Texas on the equator...

What if the molten iron core changed direction. Imagine if it flowed in the opposite direction. That could slow the rotation of the Earth down. It may even cause the 3 days of darkness as in the Bible. Then the Earth would spin in the opposite direction....
