Does baptism expel our fallen nature?
I know we sin till we die. But does baptism expel our fallen side, the side that WANTS to sin?

Are we ONLY the new creation or does our sinful side remain? Asking those with experience in ministry and who've lead "holier" lives than I.
Reader.

The Father baptizes everyone. A baby soul is brought up from the great water. Baptism is the outward ritual to represent a greater truth. Your afterbirth is what you've carried with you. I believe it is merely an outward ritual to show a sincere attempt to either raise a child to be righteous or personal desire of an older individual to be righteous.

Don't ask for a link...i'm just making this up as I go.

Re: Does baptism expel our fallen nature?
No, not baptism itself. It is what God does for us in baptism that matters.

Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith in the working of God, who hath raised him from the dead. - Colossians 2:12

It is that Spirit that works with us to restore our fallen will. When we were once deceived in the darkness of the false will of violations, we are washed with the Word of Truth and slowly rectified.

Baptism is but the first outer physical sign that we are dying to the former physical word (the flesh), and being raised up to go to new heavens and new earth (even while on earth).

Baptism of water is a beginning. But there is also a baptism by fire.
Glory be to God in the high heauens, and peace in earth, and towards men good will. - Luke 2:14 (Geneva Bible, 1560)

Oh... thanks for your comment. The closer I've been getting to my baptism the more I realize just how deceived I've been all this time....

Revelations are unraveling to me.

I can't wait to begin this process. I just want the bad me to die already.

I'd like to welcome you to great household of God. Remember the voice of your one and only Shepherd Jesus Christ. Test all things, hold on to what is sound.

You're about to enter a different world. Old things are to be done away, all things are new. Welcome to the Waters of Life.

She who is the Lady Elect in the midst of Babylon bids you welcome. - 1 Peter 5:13

Ezekiel 47:9
And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the river shall flow, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters flow there: and they shall be healed; for every thing shall live whither the river shall flow.
