Seattle will remain ‘sanctuary city’ for immigrants

Seattle’s so-called sanctuary status stems from a 2003 ordinance, according to Murray’s office. Unless otherwise required by law or court order, the ordinance bars police officers from inquiring into a person’s immigration status without reasonable suspicion that the person has been previously deported and has committed a felony. Backers of such policies argue they make cities safer because immigrants are less afraid to cooperate with police.

Here we go....mandatory vaccinations is #1 on the Communist agenda. I had both measles and mumps before the age of 7, and yes, I had the series of MMR shots before then. I also got chicken pox at the ripe age of 16. I survived, and no, none of them came close to killing me. My mom gave me baby aspirin - this was before they came out with the claim that children's aspirin can kill you too - kept my fever down with a washcloth, and had me rest in bed with lots of flavored water and diluted orange juice.

They are using 35 cases, no deaths, to scare people. Let's give this a proper perspective.

OK, fine, but will you be upset when "we" (the "State") don't pay for your medical expenses when you do get sick for lack of vaccine?? The Plague has not been eradicated, you know that, right? Polio still happens, and the Flu still kills people....you do your "thing"...hospitals are expensive as hell...

The extreme cold spell being pushed through the midwest will be used as a lab to study isolation, and spread throughout various populations which will be kept indoors for extended periods of time..

If the gov't is paying your medical bills, it's appropriate for them to see that are you doing everything appropriate to keep yourself healthy (and keep their costs down). Simple as that...if you pay as you go, do what you like...

Hi Timur, you would not believe some of the prickly situations I've been in dealing with school nurses as a result of delaying and declining certain vaccines for my children. I've had to deal with outright chastising and threats of having my children removed. My response has been, "Under state law, I have the right to decline or delay a vaccine under conscientious objection." You should see their faces when I state this, as they don't like to hear this. It may not be long before this option is no longer available to those of us who actually read through the medical literature that is not sourced from the vaccine companies themselves and who have worked with children who have multiple pages of vaccination records in their medical charts. I've seen these records, I've volunteered in my children's classrooms, and the damage done to these children before the age of two is abominable. Their vaccination records look like rap sheets, with additional medications tacked on to treat all of the behavior problems, focusing problems, etc. that this onslaught of vaccines on a child's mind and body wreaks while their immune systems and brains are still developing. I realize that I may not have much more time to use this option now that our state has been so taken over by Dems. The only hopeful means of saving us from this is the outcry from the growing Muslim community in my state, for the majority of them are also refusing vaccinations for their children.

I don't think anyone in the USA has died from measles since 2015 (unless there's been one very recently.)

On the same day that Inslee declared a state of emergency, Washington state Rep. Paul Harris, a Republican from Vancouver who represents Clark County, introduced a bill that would prohibit all exemptions from the measles vaccine requirement save for medical and religious reasons.
