This story caught my attention, because all this woman was doing was trying to drive the fucker from point A to point B to make ends meet for her unborn child, who was due to be born shortly. Shortly before both their lives were taken brutally.

Not really. Many experimental tests have been done on the Knife vs a Gun scenario, and in close quarters, a knife proved to be much more lethal and efficient in close quarters, for one on one combat.

Military experts made a video displaying this, and the firearms expert failed to foil the mock stabbing many times over, until he finally figured out a very complex maneuver of hitting the ground and doing a rolling technique while getting his gun out and going for the shot.

The Law Enforcement rule is keep a 21 foot distance from a suspect with a knife, and if he comes any closer, start shooting.

During WW2, Army Manuals were put out concerning Japanese Swordsmen, and how quickly they'd cut your body in half. The manual stated very clearly that if you see a Jap with a Sword, SHOOT HIM. So you have a passenger in your vehicle..... he quietly takes out an 8 inch blade and begins stabbing you in the chest and neck as many as 10 times, in your last seconds/minutes of life you get out of the vehicle, which prompts him to quickly exit as well, whereby he stabs you 10 to 20 more times, and also restrains your arm that you'd use to go for your gun, which likely won't even have any strength anymore, from all the blood you lost.

Police officers rarely run into this issue, because as soon as they sense danger, they draw their weapon, which always has one in the chamber with the safety OFF.

Most concealed carriers don't keep one in the chamber, and many have the safety ON as well.

Only a very well trained gun professional can deal with a well trained knife professional, and in the case of this poor woman, gun, or no gun, she never stood a chance in hell.

In order to kill a Police Officer with a knife, you'd have to slice open his/her neck immediately, being within a range of less than 4 feet away, then begin stabbing him/her right below the neck where the vest stops, while restraining his/her gun arm, even going as far as to take the gun out of the holster during the process, which is very possible to do.

The woman is DEAD with no gun on her person, and you jump to it being a great anti-gun argument? You must be a lib with that brain.

Might as well take their cuffs too, and put it on them, so they can't in any way call for backup, and then shoot them in the head with their own gun.

I think it is very important to critique and analyze this scenario and cover all possible angles as we all commonly use uber / Lyft / cabs, why are you telling people to stop thinking?

So this kind of shit will lead to plexiglass dividers being installed in personal vehicles used by private driver contractors?
