Not that I believe the global warming crap, but actually it does..

The spinning pool of cold air should be over the North Pole, but warm air has displaced it pushing the cold air over America. The Jet stream has also been pushed South. Everything trapped north of the Jet stream gets frozen solid.

They always said global warming would move the jet stream south and countries north of it much colder.

Also in Hawaii and I concur. It's warming up a little bit right now, but it's been cold for here. And very gusty.

Same thing seemed to happen last year when the mainland US got hit with the Polar Vortex. I've tried to find anything showing the air stream over the Pacific, but it all seems to just be about the mainland US. Anyway, it seems to be affecting the Pacific as well.

Please stop,drinking their koolaid. It’s been this cold many times in the past. In fact it’s been much ,much colder . Not too many years ago, we had a January that didn’t see a day that was above zero. 20 to 40 below was common right here in upstate N.Y.. the same people giving you the fake vortex stories can not accurately give us a forecast 3 or 4 days out even!let liars do what they do best and leave the fake weather news to them please.

These weather patterns are absolutely because of anthropomorphic climate disruption.

OP is again confusing weather with climate. As the planet warms, which it is doing, we will see more and more extreme weather.

It's very easy to simplify this argument that cold weather means no climate change but this is bad science.

Polar vortex is being caused by climate disruption, there is also a 90+ consensus within the scientific community that man made climate change is happening.

The last four years have been the warmest on record.

The oceans are acidifying, this is a direct result of our activities and emissions.

To suggest that all of these professionals, from every country in the world are all in on a huge conspiracy to lie about climate disruption is bizarre and absurd.

It is also on the record that fossil fuel companies knew about all of this for decades and they decided to lie about it.

The planet is turning to shit and we are also living in the 6th mass extinction, is that a lie too?

The climate change scam/evil is more about getting people corralled into the mega liberal cities and taking their freedom of movement away. The taxes won't really fly yet but the regulations on gas cars will and are. They want the cost of using a gas car so high that people have to use electric cars. Electric cars have a short range, moving more people to the city centers. Then they will slam on the battery taxes and regs so the sheep will be forced to use public transport - the wet dream of the state wanting to control every aspect of a slave.

There's a "feels like" temperature of -35 here, and on Monday we're going to be up to +6.

Actually it does fit it quite well. You see the warmer water of the atlantic caused unreasonably warm weather in north east africa. This warm air migrated north and knocked the circling cold air of the arctic down towards the states.

Had the Atlantic not been slightly warmer this year you wouldn't be so cold.

its not accurate though tess, its simply a pole shift

the timing of the seasons are changing, winter is starting

been into the teens here in CO, maybe a dip to single digits, but very far from any records...and that's just fine with me. Snow should be melted in the next couple/few days...
