One set of identical twins, two different ancestry profiles.

At least that's the suggestion from one of the world's largest ancestry DNA testing companies.

Last spring, Marketplace host Charlsie Agro and her twin sister, Carly, bought home kits from AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, 23andMe, FamilyTreeDNA and Living DNA, and mailed samples of their DNA to each company for analysis.

Despite having virtually identical DNA, the twins did not receive matching results from any of the companies.

In most cases, the results from the same company traced each sister's ancestry to the same parts of the world — albeit by varying percentages.

But the results from California-based 23andMe seemed to suggest each twin had unique twists in their ancestry composition.

They don't do the actual work - just do simple stat on it. What they do do is record the identifying markers and send it off to their benefactors, the FBI.

I just got my Dad's results which came back 98% Finland, 2% Norway. No surprise at all.

DNA ancestry is to sell your DNA to big pharma companies so they can patent it.

Then you and you ancestors will have to pay for the privalegde of medical treatment in the , first to the patent ho!ders, then for the treatments.

also Israel is using the tests to spread the lie thgast Judaism (religion) is actually a genetic race.

Ask anyone who took the test.

They'll have something like 3% Ashkenazi Jewish in their results.

That's like saying you're 12% Catholic.

There should certainly be some controlled studies of this stuff, as it ends up being used by law enforcement to identify criminals of cold crimes, and other stuff.

Are these companies required to meet certain standards before they report? Haven't heard of any.

They only trace to a what are essentially random and actually fanciful periods of habitation. Much of their geographic and ethnographic rendering of the ancient world is mostly made up bullcrap.

An "indigenous" Crimean isn't indigenous at all. They would be Goths (Germanic). Or more like Sythians. But who lived there before the Greeks or Sythians?

Like I said, none of the geography or archeology matches the largely racist anti-white narratives they attempt to spin at the DNA snake oil companies. Yeah, they'll trace your ancestry. Right.

They don't look identical twins, probably fraternal twins, so only half of their dna is the same.

You are totally right AG, I meant to say, your DNA...

They could take it then patent some shit based on that DNA, and they will manipulate laws, and who knows, waking up in a morning you receive a legal letter that you are not belonging to yourself, or you have to pay a royalty to someone, or else...

Is this so far fetched, that we cannot predict an issue like that?

The results off all these DNA Ancestry companies are based on their private data base. They compare your DNA to what is in their private data base and see where your DNA place you and what percentage of you is close enough to place you in that certain geographical location.

Given that they are all different with respect to the data they have in their system, you will get different result from each one. They also tell you that they are not accurate and up to 50% of the test is not accurate.

Additionally your DNA percentage can change as their data base information is constantly changing as the get more and more DNA samples to put into their data base which means you can be 10% Germany today and 60 % Germany in a few months.
