Methane cannot cause warming. It dos not exist for long. It readily oxidizes to form water and CO2. Water vapor is a greenhouse gas but a vital component of life and CO2 is a harmless plant food and not a greenhouse gas at all. Welcome to the new ice age.

Don't worry about it. We are headed for a magnetic pole shift in a few years. Many Earthquakes and volcano's will go active. This will pump tons of debris in the air causing an ice age. Then there will be plenty of frozen barrier and permafrost...

OP's lack of any scientific knowledge is laughable.

What's melting? The ground is getting colder, here in the NYC area.

I have a compost pit in my yard. (compost pile? It's neither pile nor pit really, I add stuff and smash it down and cover it, and it all stays about ground level) Most winters I can dig in it to put in new vegetable waste, for almost all of the winter unless we get very cold temperatures. This year the air temperature was actually above normal, it's been a mild winter, but half the time I have been unable to dig in the compost pit.

The amount of clouds are modulated by the strengths of the magnetic fields shielding us from cosmic rays.
