You have no fucking idea what your talking about.
There is no affordable.housing in America.
Wages are 10hr rent is 800. That's 2 weeks of pay just for rent. Now utilities. Insurance. Food. An injury and your homeless. Car repair your homeless.
This is reality for majority of Americans.
You are wrong.
It is no secret the middle class is being destroyed.
This is it's effect.
This is how you destroy a nation.
Poverty is what we strive for. Poverty is barely making ends meet.

More and more people choosing homelessness at insane rates. You are correct the only reason homelessness is becoming an epidemic problem is choice. Economics has nothing to do with these choices.
