Guys, the plan is at the SOTU he will turn and say Pelosi agreed to negotiate if he reopened government and she has refused. So if she doesn’t reach an agreement by 2/15 the closing will be on her. No emergency, he’s building it using defense funds and through negotiated prices. The Office of Personnel Management issued a new rule after the first shutdown that states anybody that is ruled essential that calls in sick during a shutdown will be considered AWOL and subject to immediate termination. So, you work as an air traffic controller. Are you going to risk a sick out and lose your job? Not any openings in the private atc market. This shutdown might last 2 years or longer.
