Would an EMP in a large city cause electronics to go out …. how far away? Like in miles? Say you live about 50 miles from where an EMPT hits a big city …. how far does it travel?

If most of the power in the US went out for a month, don't expect it to ever come back on again.
The Chaos it would bring would be insurmountable.
After a month the resources needed to put the power back on, throughout the US, would probably not exist any more.
It would take years to get enough Political and Civic stability to attempt such a project, even if the needed resources were still available.
Locally on the other hand small communities might find was to continue to have power or to generate their own. But on a national scale resumption of power distribution would be a big issue.

I agree that nothing ever happens, but I think it's naive to think it never will. I would rather prep the rest of my life and be wrong than die because of ignorant bliss. Worst case scenario, my kids have a bunch of stuff to throw out. Though I don't understand why they would be giving soft warnings if people are right that an EMP wouldn't take out the grid.

Its very possible that there are many more "warnings" out there that I have not seen yet.



They always put the info out for us to see, whether we pay attention is up to us.
