As for CKP, I wish you knew how wrong you are. I was on long term pain meds for many years. I could hardly get out of bed without them. Stopped cold end of Oct. after losing 4 dear friends in the span of a week and a half from opiates of various kinds. Some prescribed, others not so.

No steps down, no taper. I had to be sure I could stop..I want to be here, for good or bad. Because I was on synthetic, the withdraw lasts MUCH longer. I have never been so sick or in so much pain in my entire life, for months.

I'm no longer able to work in my career field because of giving them up. Totally acceptable for me to do Mobile Onsite Tech work while on 4 pain meds, muscle relaxers, nerve/anxiety, and sleeping meds... but can't be insured now that i'm off THOSE, and on medically prescribed Cannabis. HA! Go figure.

Cannabis however, gives me quality of life again. I'm still in pain, all the time. But it knocks it down to where I can pass for a functional human, not a zombie.

Cannabis is not a/the perfect medicine, but it's not the demon you and others portray either.

I have been on painkillers for over 20 years, probably some of the same meds as you where and I have never felt like a zombie or high. I take 400mg tramadol, 240mg codeine (co-codamol), 120-160mg liquid morphine, 3600mg Gabapentin, 100mg amitriptyline (50mg morning and night), prednisone, 800mg Ibuprofen, 10mg Diazepam a day and 20mg Methotrexate once a week. I am having more surgeries in the next couple of weeks on my spine and discs hopefully so probably end up back on fentanyl for a while after.

Maybe they should allow the drugs you take like morphine or fentanyl to be used for recreational purposes instead of marijuana? That sounds like a much better idea than letting people smoke a bowl....

OP is a troll. Although i have to admit, weed nowadays is 30% THC where i live, and that is a completely different ballgame than 15 years ago when it was like 10% and that was considered high.

I do notice more anxiety with certain stronger strains instead of enjoying them. I don't really get any pain relief from smoking a big reefer of any strain to be honest and in fact sometimes feel the pain more because now i am concentrated on it when i am high.


I did find that CBD actually was the only weed that helped pain. So OP is a troll but in reality, weed is also not as medicinal as it was. Not only is the THC % really high now, but the CBD % went down considerably.

I did smoke some Death Bubba CBD which was like 10%cbd and 15%thc and let me tell you, that actually took my pain away and gave me less anxiety and more confidence.

Funny how legalization happened when cannabis is hitting its peak THC % and it was illegal when the stuff was much softer.

They need to breed the CBD % back into THC plants because CBD actually acts as a "buffer" or "Filter" for the over active THC in your brain

Doctors taper down meds if you want to stop taking something, never had any problems and I have been on pain meds for over 20 years.
