FYI, my wife and I told both our daughters we will not pay for a wedding, rather, we will give them the down payment on a home. And a large one at that. Both of them have chosen wise young men as boyfriends and if they choose to marry, they get a paid off home instead of an expensive wedding. The deal is they don't know, nor does bf know just how much we will be paying for them to be with no mortgage or debt when they start their lives and families. Same with our son.

What? Every day with my wife is better than the one before. Very simple wedding but we have 3 wonderful and smart daughters. An expensive wedding lasts one day, but a husband that loves and respects his wife makes her happy every day.
