dmoz User ID: 226103 Australia 06/08/2007 10:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | From the Wikipedia page on the "Hundredth Monkey": "In 1985, Elaine Myers re-examined the original published research in "The Hundredth Monkey Revisited" in the journal In Context. In her review she found that the original research reports by the Japan Monkey Center in vol. 2, 5 and 6 of the journal Primates differ from Watson's story in significant ways. In short, it contains no evidence that the 'Hundredth Monkey' phenomenon exists; the published articles only describe how the sweet potato washing behavior gradually spread through the monkey troop and became part of the set of learned behaviors of young monkeys. There is no evidence at all of a critical number at which the idea suddenly spread to other islands, and none of the original researchers ever made such a claim. Despite the lack of supporting evidence for the story as told by Watson and Keyes it is still popular among New Age authors and personal growth gurus and has become an urban legend and part of New Age mythology. As a result, the story has also become a favorite target of the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal and was used as the title essay in The Hundredth Monkey: And Other Paradigms of the Paranormal published by them in 1991. In his book Why People Believe Weird Things, Michael Shermer explains how the urban legend started, was popularised, and has been discredited." Edit: I was wrong to imply a few posts above that Sheldrake was responsible for the Hundredth Monkey idea. He reported it, that's all. |

It doesn't matter that the 100th Monkey phenomenon itself doesn't exist, per se. Same with dishwashers or any technological advancement. No, I'm not being pedantic. I am expecting some intellectual rigor from you though. There are two aspects to the "100th Monkey" myth. One is that behaviour and ideas spread through populations. That is obviously true, and can be observed anywhere you care to look. There's nothing special or esoteric about that. The other claim that the 100th Monkey story makes is that there is a critical mass, at which point the cup overflows, and the population at large makes a quantum shift. As stated above, this claim was added later to the story, and no such claim or observation was made by the original Japanese researchers. It was invented, to suit the purposes of the people retelling the story. The new paradigm shift surpasses technology, however, as we realise our own Godliness. When a handful of Greek Philosophers realised it was Consciousness itself that drove us (is/was us), that concept exponentially increased until, in the 21st Century, we eventually (will) reach critical mass whereby the whole group consciousness will/is changing to Love/creation/unity from Fear/destruction/separation. Quoting: DivinitySee? You've done it again. You're assuming that there is this magical "critical mass", yet the one story you new agers most commonly use to illustrate your point is a fiction. If you can find some REAL evidence of this "critical mass" concept, perhaps you should use that instead. |

If you choose not to see that people are turning to love and peace rather than hatred and war, that is your choice. If you choose to live as a singular unit disconnected to God or Source (the stuff of life), that is your free will choice too. I FEEL the change and perceive the change. You obviously do not. I have read all the books and opinions on the New Age Movement but the proof is always in the eating...why take another's opinion when you can bake it and taste it yourself? Most new agers I know are pretty open and receptive to all viewpoints, they are well-read and independent thinkers. New-age is not a religion or a cult; it's a viewpoint. One where the observer decides he/she doesn't want to 'belong' to any set of rules or dogma. Spiritually they want to be free and expand their consciousness to the full. What is so wrong about wishing to unify your mind-body-spirit and maximise the best you can be? It's a self-empowerment trip not a vehicle for controlling the masses. As much as I can't prove to you that New Agers aren't profiteering or proliferating the NWO, the only 'proof' you can offer are other people's opinions on the matter. Such people usually have an axe to grind. Let's wait and see exactly how many New Agers start to run prison camps, gas their fellow men and queue up to get chipped, shall we? Alternatively, you could start to connect with your fellow men/women and feel how great it is to be loved and to love. You will when you will. Divinity User ID: 249246 Spain 06/10/2007 01:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here is some interesting history: Quoting: dmoz[link to www.mt.net] The 'lightworkers' among you might recognise some of your own ideas as they appeared in an earlier guise. To quote the end of that article: >>In his study Le Thiosophisme, histoire d'une pseudo-religion, published in 1921, the philosopher Rene Guenon foresaw what was likely to occur. He realized the dangers lurking behind theosophy and the neo-pagan Initiatory groups that were more or less connected with Mme Blavatsky and her sect. This is what he wrote: "The false Messiahs we have seen so far have only performed very inferior miracles, and their disciples were probably not very difficult to convert. But who knows what the future has in store? When you reflect that these false Messiahs have never been anything but the more or less unconscious tools of those who conjured them up, and when one thinks more particularly of the series of attempts made in succession by the theosophists, one is forced to the conclusion that these were only trials, experiments as it were, which will be renewed in various forms until success is achieved, and which in the meantime invariably produce a somewhat disquieting effect. Not that we believe that the theosophists, any more than the occultists and the spiritualists, are strong enough by themselves to carry out successfully an enterprise of this nature. But might there not be, behind all these movements, something far more dangerous which their leaders perhaps know nothing about, being themselves in turn the unconscious tools of a higher power?" Above text excerpted from: The Dawn of Magic by Louis Pauwells & Jacques Bergier>> As I said, even though I adore Icke and Swerdlow's teachings and they've taught me much, there is much paranoia and fear surrounding ALL secret societies. Predominantly, I was a truth-seeker before being a lightworker so I had no choice but to become satisfied with my decision about the use of Magic. Are you afraid of Magic, dmoz? There is no lightworker I know who is a member of Vril, the Rosi's, the Freemasons or would have anything to do with Crowley's summoning of evil Gods/Spirits. Hitler, who was home-grown for leadership by the far-right Rothschilds, was plainly delusional. I am prepared to accept an alien race may well have been behind his motives and brainwashing. I will cover the 'isms' you raised further down, but at the moment, nothing of this article has convinced me that focusing light and love on any object, person or place, is akin to being a Devil-worshipper, an elite member of a sect or a religion. I can't speak for the people you 'know' or their experiences; only my own. I have been Reiki healing for 8 years and have met many beautiful humans, no aliens and certainly no devil-worshippers as far as I know. Much of what is written on the 'net is NOT history, it's manipulating bullshit. Discernment is always the key. Demonising Blavatsky, Geller, Hurtak, Hayes, Winter, Walsch, Melchizedek, the Kaballah, etc. etc. etc. does nothing for me. I take what I want from their work and leave the rest. The Agenda of the Powers that Be is not so much pro-Lightworkers or pro-Christians, as it is anti-intellectuals, period. How many people would prefer to watch Big Brother than sit at home and meditate or go to Church, in the western world? Different, of course, in China and India...but that's a slightly different matter. There you have Lightworkers of a different flavour. What we are talking about is Intent. The Intent of the NWO is dumbed-down, unhealthy, robots who cannot and do not think. The Intent of Lightworkers as I know them is to stimulate their own DNA and expand their consciousness. Strikes me you know something about consciousness and therein lies the key to all this, not in history. If I hear of one more "healing time" that involves encouraging children to cry so that they can "be ok in the space with their crying", I'll think I'll throw up. I am sorry but you are quite wrong. Hope the girls won't mind me quoting them but Xana, Semjase, Earth Daughter, Allie and I have totally different ways of operating and in some respects, different beliefs! The one common theme we do have is that We are One. You could call that a religion if you want to, but we worship no-one, there are no set rituals or songs or hymns or ceremonies, we don't pay money to anyone and we don't have special clothes to 'pigeon-hole' our beliefs. We do, however, honour each other despite our differences. Lightworking mentality is related to higher thinking, the use of the heart-mind to forgive, accept, understand and love everything in the Universe, to know we are connected and that separation is an Illusion. As for the nitty-gritty, Semjase may like Kryon, whereas Xana may prefer the Hopi Indian teachings, I like Dan Winter and Sheldrake, but Earth Daughter might lean to the Mayan or Egyptian teachings and Allie, she is pretty much her own guru. These are just examples. Truly, your view is extremely closed. Sounds to me that it's you who are blanketing 'New Age' and imposing your limited belief system on IT. Sure I see it as freeing because much of it is about releasing old programmes and paradigms, beliefs such as suffering or pain, and embracing the joy of being. As for children crying, well that is simply stupid. Children in my world are encouraged to laugh and play, and be what they desire, within the limits of a certain sense of responsibility and caring for others. New Age is about freedom in all areas of life. I'm not sure who your 'friends' are 'following'...can you be more specific? If you want to release yourself from the clutches of the NWO, you may like to start with a few affirmations such as I AM Free. Have you tried affirmations, LOL? Divinity User ID: 249246 Spain 06/10/2007 01:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Awesome post Div... awesome. Thank you for speaking the words I could not find, but which fill my heart and lifestyle. Quoting: dmozWell, Div's post made two assumptions: One, that she knows my take on spiritual matters, which is wrong, and Two, that she can happily ignore the requests that I've made for a response to specific and detailed issues regarding the history and presonalities involved in the new age 'religion' (or 'viewpoint'). In this, of course, she is 100% right. We should never let the facts get in the way of a good cosmology, should we Div. Something else too... when it comes to the nwo chipping and imprisoning the lightworker types; those who do not comply to their ways, death is the nwo answer... death of the body. Because of the love and knowing within me and many others like me, we have no fear. My body may tremble, but my spirit, that which is eternal, will not. This is not a game we play... 'light-ly'. love love x xana, xana, xana, your new age/theosophist leaders are PART OF THE NWO. They say so themselves, and you can tell it a mile away by what they write and say. The chipping isn't for the 'lightworker' trustee sheep, it's for the rest of us, who don't go for the New Groupthink. Again, I refer you to Creme, Spangler, and suchlike, and back to Bailey if you wish. The poison is there for the taking, in plain view. Edit: I want to add that there is this popular self-congratulatory myth among new agers that their agenda is "alternative". It is nothing of the sort. It is totally mainstream, as is evidenced by its representation and power in governments, universities, education systems, the media, corporations and institutions (prime example: the UN). Thank you Xana! Your point above is wrong, again, dmoz. I have a passport which contains a chip. I am not part of any official organisation at all so how would the NWO single me out (unless its on a forum like this?), I have no official membership of any belief or society so how would they single out all these 'New Agers'? (Can you imagine the local police station - "Oh Divinity, no we won't chip her, she's New Age" ....the idea is ludicrous). Their Agenda, IMO, is this: * No-one will be exempt from the chipping and, therefore, remote control if they want to live normally, work or have a home. * As well as being chipped, they will hold DNA databases on every single person. Question is why? The answer, for me, is to do with the level of conscious awareness the individual has. A higher level means greater wisdom (more DNA awake) and, harder to control by any power external to the individual. * If we entertain the idea that a handful of aliens are in charge at the top, it's possible they may be looking for certain types of gene/bloodline to cross-breed with. DNA Database would be essential for that. So, in reply to your accusation that 'we are the new religion for the NWO', I'd say, we are MUCH MORE of a THREAT to the NWO than you are. Historically, the Irish, for example, have been very psychic people. Their DNA could be valuable if they were of 'original Annunaki bloodline', you see? Also why did the 'sacred feminine' and all white magic have to be supressed? They posed a serious threat to the rulers of the planet. That IS history. Christianity plays a big part in suppressing this side of our nature. You see, I see the good and the bad in everything! Laurence Gardner is self-confessed Dragon Bloodline Master - an evil bugger if there ever was one. BUT when you read his work, it's evident that much of Man's psychic and right-brain capability could have been from 'Dragon blood', i.e. the Annunaki. The internet loves to make you take sides. They encourage duality .....the point is there is good and bad in every single organisation, belief or way of life, and bloodline! As truth starts to be revealed (The Revelations), more and more people become less afraid of these Hidden Agendas and realise the NWO is merely the bogey man with a trumped-up sense of its own importance. And you are helping further the NWO public relations campaign (as I, myself used to, until I realised there is nothing to be afraid of) by lending them so much of your own power! See, they also know that people who aren't afraid to die will lay down their bodies for freedom. I'm with you on that one, Xana. Are you, dmoz? These details of history, however inconvenient, should be addressed by those who espouse the 'new age'. (Just as you might expect a Christian to explain the barbarities of the Old Testament, or a Zen Buddhist to explain why their tradition was so involved in the cruelty of the Samurai, or a Trotskyite to explain Kronstadt.) This is a requote of my post from the Re: NAZISM COMPARED TO NEW AGE MOVEMENT thread.... ----------------------------------------- This thread is stupidity beyond belief. How about comparing Naziism and New Ageism by showing their DIFFERENCES? How many New Agers do you know who: * are racist * are sexist * have no compassion for others who have less than themselves * support the NWO * vote right wing * vote politically at all * want war and separation * would like to see people rounded up and put into prison camps * support the idea of a dictator? * have a desire to join a police state or even the military? Has it occurred to the OP that the Nazi's and Hitler knew about magic and that such magic/energy manipulation can also be used to direct LIGHT and wonderful things for humanity? No...because you are brainwashed by your own religion. The religions of the world are scraping the barrel - they are desperate to keep their followers asleep and in the dark. ----------------- I have read Blavatsky, Icke, the NWO, Freemasons, etc etc etc. At the end up, thoughts are things, and quantum science is telling us right now that our focus creates our reality. They’ll be looking for something that acknowledges that every Human is part of the harmony of life, and therefore is eternal; something that begins to “connect the dots” and reveal what every master who walked the earth has said: That you’re empowered to change yourselves and the earth since you’re partly divine yourselves. They’ll be looking for something that “rings true” with what they’re feeling, where they don’t have to suffer to please a higher power. Quoting: SemjaseWhat they’ll seek isn’t a doctrine and it doesn’t always depend on having a prophet. It’s a way of life that honors the “prophet within” and lets all that has gone before snap into place within a wisdom pattern that allows a realization that God is much, much bigger than previously thought. Lightworker. People are so uptight. I come here and say the most heinous things and they take it serious. Come on man, lighten up. Enjoy life and extend a helping hand to others. I feel alone.. but the fear is fading fast. well anyway.. I'm seeing 1111 again so what does that mean? Pinkorchid User ID: 71682430 Australia 05/03/2016 03:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A Lightworker is someone who has empathy for others , who feels the worlds pain and aches for the injustices going on around them. We live in a duality , up/down , right/left , good/bad and so on , a light worker is the opposite side of the coin to the dark worker , who thinks only of self aggrandizement. Most often at the cost to another. A light worker has a different magnetic polarity and through this polarity pulls in positive energy in service to others and those around them. To anchor/ pull in the light means to ground that energy in the earth to act as a rod for the positive forces of creation. Blueberry95 User ID: 72181482 Sweden 05/09/2016 01:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In simplified form: Quoting: Earth Daughter Lightworkers spread the light Light = Love & compassion, absence of fear, hate, greed, etc... Lightworkers send their thoughts of love (the energy of consciousness) to places or people in need of healing or help. The stream of conscious thoughts are real and when a group of people connect to the collective thoughts of all lightworkers to transmute negative energy, it is called spreading the light. This can be done during meditation or just by consciously thinking about directng your light and love. It can be for one person, lets say you see a homeless man and you can direct thoughts of love and light towards him. or It can be for a large group of people, or the world, etc... Like thinking about Iraq and sending your love and light towards ending the suffering of those in pain. There is power in thoughts and setting your intention through thought. If you use the power of your thoughts positivly, then you are a lightworker. Thank you! That's exactly right :) some people here behave like they are 10 year's old... its just so easy, lightworkers spread love (light) around them. ... |
