Wells Fargo Down everywhere

So they have all transaction go through ONE SERVER FARM???? No backup plan??? WTF!!!!

My wife works for them in IT. She said they have a backup system in place, and questions why they haven't rolled over to it.

I called my local branch with a few questions. Tellers that have been with WF for a while can still access the old computer system and do transactions through that system. But, if your branch doesn't have tellers with experience with the old system, then nope, no backup. Crazy, eh?

I'm guessing a virus

My guess is a hack.

Had problems in CVS with card hit the local bank just to see the feedback I was able to withdrawal $500 with no problems

Was told about a fire that messed up the network

they can manipulate the data now thats its offline, roll over to the "backup servers" and voila, your money is gone!

Is it possible that there is another issue with the servers and they don't want to risk infecting the backup system with whatever occurred to the primary, and the fire suppression system is a story?

The bank tellers are able to access I just did a withdrawal Just feel sorry for the Tellers everyone is integrating them lol

It finally let me sign in but signed me out when I clicked on my acct.

Own a business here in SC. Customers have been able to use Wells Fargo debit cards no problem all morning. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I work in IT for a much smaller financial institution. If they had to restore to a backup, then apply all of the transaction logs after that backup time/date, it can take hours to bring the core financial app back online.

I keep "git home cash" stashed in my vehicle.

Just don't fer git where ya stashed it.

Finally got in just now using mobile app. In FL- everything looks okay, my money’s still there thank goodness!

10 year old hackers stole millions.

I have Capital Bank, the same exact thing happened to me last month. What are the odds that two major banks experience the same problem where no one has access to their money in less than a month? This looks like a beta test to see how the public responds. I have learned my lesson being stranded with out $ and a useless debit card. I now have cash stashed and always make sure to have pocket $.
