So, the question remains, why is there this obsession to worry about things that Jesus never mentioned? |

Ancient scribes would use this punctuation like you use place holders. Instead of writing six hundred, sixty six, you just write 666. They just wrote chi, xi, stigma with a line over it as shorthand. We must be reading a different book then My appreciation of Christian doctrine is limited to witnessed and reported words and actions of Jesus. I believe you allow others to speak and posit for him or claim they are entitled to change direction for him. So no, We dont read the same information. You allow all sorts of other influences and ignore the fact the others are there to change things to something else entirely. |

Matthew 5:18: "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled" And that applies to what, exactly? The law of the Golden rule or the laws of Leviticus which command to take slaves and treat them harshly. You see, you cannot run both laws concurrently. You have to pick one or the other. The old testamenteers clearly understood what threat Jesus posed to their doctrine, even if you cannot or refuse to accept it. It matters not, to me. |

The things of this world will pass away as temporary and unimportant, he said that, and I believe that. You want to focus on punctilious noncontributory items, its on you and will profit you nothing. |
