Dont know,
Jesus never thought to ever bring that up when he was here.

It's almost as if its an intentional distraction by someone with time on their hands or a mental illness.

Re: What's that little line drawn over 666 in Greek Bible manuscripts ?
Funny how so many are fooled into thinking things never mentioned by Jesus when he was surrounded by apostles all of a sudden, because they are uttered by some guy that never met him, become points to obsess upon when in fact, they are items clearly deemed unimportant to focus upon by no other person than Jesus himself, who said the worries of this world are transient and unimportant and not to be obsessed about.

So, the question remains, why is there this obsession to worry about things that Jesus never mentioned?

It's to indicate it's a number and not a word. Ancient scribes would use this punctuation like you use place holders.

Instead of writing six hundred, sixty six, you just write 666. They just wrote chi, xi, stigma with a line over it as shorthand.
Glory be to God in the high heauens, and peace in earth, and towards men good will. - Luke 2:14 (Geneva Bible, 1560)

JESUS never said to study the old testament for sure or to emulate it or even follow its lessons.

If he did, they wouldnt have dealt with him the way they did.

My appreciation of Christian doctrine is limited to witnessed and reported words and actions of Jesus.

I believe you allow others to speak and posit for him or claim they are entitled to change direction for him.

So no, We dont read the same information.
You allow all sorts of other influences and ignore the fact the others are there to change things to something else entirely.

And that applies to what, exactly?
The law of the Golden rule or the laws of Leviticus which command to take slaves and treat them harshly.

You see, you cannot run both laws concurrently.

You have to pick one or the other.

The old testamenteers clearly understood what threat Jesus posed to their doctrine, even if you cannot or refuse to accept it.
It matters not, to me.

Funny, because it's only used over 16 words in the entirety of Bible manuscripts and only one of them is a number

I dont care, it has nothing to do with what Jesus said or mentioned as important.
The things of this world will pass away as temporary and unimportant, he said that, and I believe that.

You want to focus on punctilious noncontributory items, its on you and will profit you nothing.
