Quoting: keybored Greedy, power-hungry, unethical Limousine-liberal Jeff Bezos versus greedy, power-hungry, unethical Champagne Socialist Ocasio-Cortez. The two sides deserve each other. . |

Why is she trying to stop that for them. Quoting: 3643297 Because she's a moron. Socialism demands morons to flourish. Income for those unable and unwilling to work..... He probably pulled a lot of Clinton-Foundation-pay-to-play-type levers with other Hillary-loving people in New York City/State government to get his sweetheart deal. . |

What's stopping new yorkers from being more enterprising and starting their own online retailers to compete? Or other businesses? Seems kind of counterproductive to wait for a rich guy to come in and create jobs rather than taking it into your own hands. LOL so someone simply starts a business in the confines of nyc ? even this bs w/amazon-exactly WHAT deals were made regarding CITY and STATE taxation ? sales tax ? labor laws,UNIONS , etc ? why was a site in LIC chosen over say FL,NH other states FREE FROM sales tax ? something smells here. |

Not enough of them around and we don't care about any of that tomfoolery. If you work hard and treat people right, it doesn't matter what you do in the bedroom (so long as it doesn't end up on the police report in the local paper) or what your skin color is. Pretty simple standard that I've had a lot of people that come through wish for. We also don't dance around topics. Quoting: Exusiai People just need to be more honest about themselves and others when it comes to politics/ideology. If you're a liberal/leftist, say so. If you're a conservative/rightist, say so. As for moderate or "centrist?" Since the middle-ground of the political spectrum has shifted left over the past 40 years, that's mainly a case of closeted liberalism. Enough with all the "shhh, don't bring up politics during dinner" Miss-Manners way of thinking. That has made it easier for the foolishness and inhumanity of liberalism/leftism to get an upper hand. No, people, your left-leaning biases do not reflect a good heart. Well, maybe it does if the heart is similar to Count Dracula's. . |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 76825837 Canada 02/09/2019 12:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | She's a stereotypical Millennial (sorry, Millennials). She thinks she's smarter than everyone else, and she starts a job and instantly thinks she should be running the place and can just step in at the top without having having to work her way up. And yet, she sounds like an idiot when she actually opens her mouth, and she has an annoying voice to boot. Narcissistic, social media-obsessed, surface over substance. Also lacking in social skills, since she doesn't seem to understand having to work with others. That said, I also abhor Bezos and Amazon. And I lived in one of the cities that Amazon was considering, and I didn't want Amazon to come where I lived. It was going to bring in 50,000 employees (plus their spouses, families, cars, etc.). Most of the jobs sounded like they'd be filled from outside and weren't jobs for locals. Besides crowding an already overloaded infrastructure, that would instantly fuck up already fucked up housing costs and supply. Bezos also wanted his people situated within walking distance of downtown amenities -- ok for a big city like NYC, not good in a smaller city with limited real estate options. On top of all that, Bezos also wanted tax incentives, which my city thankfully wasn't willing to promise. Sure, it could create local jobs, if you mean serving people coffee while being priced out of your crappy apartment near the downtown area. Yeah, no. So I wouldn't want Amazon near me, either. |
