Here's the thing that bugs me on top of everything else...

My dad's oldest brother and his..wife.

She has been on disability since the 90s for some knee issue.. From the first time I met her in my teens, I thought she resembled a bridge troll.

My mom on the other hand..was beautiful, never fat, went to church, did everything right, and spent 45 years of her life nursing sick children and babies born before their time in the NICU.

She was diagnosed with Parkinson's two months before she retired..and there is almost nothing they can do for her..

That, on top of these new 9 month abortion laws..is like God puking on her face.

And I'm pissed.

your employer owes you for exploiting you with satan's gimmick and con game.

Re: You owe the person who hired you, loyalty.
You may get moved to other bosses, but ultimately, who ever is your direct manager or direct report has hired you or accepted you as part of their team. If there is weirdness there or his policy is not to your liking then YOU should move on if you cannot work it out.

This person accepted you to their team, they have put their own success partially, maybe wholeheartedly in your hands.

They owe you nothing, they could chose thousands of other people, yet they chose or choose you every day.

Ultimately you should mold your own work ethics, style and performance to their expectation. You two are a team, like it or not. He/she will take the pain and sometimes the heat from your failure or NOT. The not times come when you have disrupted the trust.

This is how you move ahead. Make your boss believe you are essential to their success and get THEM promoted. They will almost always bring you along. They were likely there where you are at some point, and they likely have a boss too. Help your boss make his boss happy.

This rant is n case no body ever opened your eyes before.

Feel free to thank me with your next promotion.

You think because you have the power to be a gatekeeper and you hired someone that they just just constantly blow you?
Typically, you hire the best candidate for the job which means they deserve it and got it because they busted their ass to get to that point;they didn’t get it just because YOU decided to hire them.

Re: You owe the person who hired you, loyalty.
Loyalty, in a professional organization, is a two way operation. That is to say, it should be higher to lower as well as lower to higher.

Adding to the direction of "loyalty", the responsibility for communication is higher to lower. Communication lower to higher should be spelled out in official policy so employees know clearly what they are suppose too communicate.

It seems to be a major problem with newby managers or bosses that think the sun rises and sets in their ass. Almost as bad are the fools give condescending speeches to grown up people.

Employees have an obligation to give a good day's work for their day's pay--no question about that. However, if a boss wants 100% all the time, it would be a good idea to show respect and loyalty for those that work under them. Many people do not understand basic principles of good people management.

Loyalty in large corporations is superficial-at best. Does not matter if you are white or blue collar.

Not necessarily so now a days, especially so with women. Many manager/ bosses use their employees like doormats and are very unappreciative of them.

Furthermore, if you help out a women to get promoted, beware, especially if you are a female too, she will pull the ladder up and forget you were ever friends. Women after all much rather work with a team of men themselves, rather than other females who tend to play a lot of head games.

Trust no one, have the perception of but, no true loyalties, and above all else take care of yourself first. I can guarantee you, you are totally replaceable and your employer could care less about you too. So if something better comes along, don't be afraid to give a days, notice and go. This is the truth now a days.
