The Soviets went bankrupt trying to control a few countries in Eastern Europe. Russia is not communist anymore, that why the liberals hate them. So what good is NATO for the US? Does the US really expect Britain to "defend" US soil? Or Italy? Or Germany? LOL. NATO has no military of any size without the US. They are helpers at best.
